Hello this is going to be an issue with corona wires it could be the charge corna unit or the transfer seperation unit check the corna wires and springs that hold the corona wires in place if corona wire is bad replace also check for arching on the ends of the corona asseblys you can normally smell the arching or you can just replace the charge unit for the drum unit and the transfer seperation unit as well

The check engine light on my Chevy Silverado cam eon and the code was P0449. My manuel says it is the Evaporative emission vent valve solenoid malfunction. Laymans terms please?

That is laymans terms. That is why it is in your manual. You ,need to get up to speed ,on todays somewhat high tech vehicles.
Now you need to go to a shop that does EVAP testing, with a smoke machine,if necessary,or at least put a scanner on it ,and replace the vent valve solenoid,if bad.(again laymans part teminology,

How do I retrieve info. from a 3M TR-1 minicartridge?

Hi,

Firstly. sorry to hear of your loss.

I believe you will need a Travan tape reader to access the data on the tapes.

From what i have seen, there are a few available on E**y.

Sorry i can not be of more assistance.

Best Wishes,

Karlos

Cassette removal from dead Canon MV650 Camcorder

I just solved my own problem by disassembling the camcorder until I had access to the little motor which operates the eject mechanism. It sits on the corner of the mechanics subassembly, close to the cassette. By applying about 3.5 Volts DC from a regulated power supply to the two motor contacts, it started to operate (test which direction it needs to go by trying both polarities) and lifted the cassette out of the play position and ejected it. Only since the tape was still wound around the drum, I had to use a thin tool to turn the cassette hub in order to tighten the tape a bit. Then the protective cover of the cassette closed and I could slide the cassette out of the slot by hand. Bingo!

TRANSFERRING VIDEO FOOTAGE TO COMPUTER

Hello,
you can access via USB only SD card on your camcoder.
The only way to transfer from the tape is via Firewire (IEE 1394) . You should have this port on your PC or laptop, if not you can buy external firewire card .

Konstantin

Need to copy HVS to DVD. I have a Go Video DVR4200 model

Recording DVDs is a whole 'nother ball game. The data has to be all prepped and then recorded in one shot. Can't just start and stop like a tape machine. Half the reason for pushing DVDs on the market is prevent you from easily recording them. Takes either a special recorder ($$$) or a computer with a writable DVD drive.
