Question about Sony FD Trinitron WEGA KV-36HS500 36" TV

Help me to resolve the problem

I had the problem with television sony the model kV-36hs500.problem the picture was not full (the Caution Pin) .I has replaced power the pin also ic driver the pin but the resistor suplay the pin always blow.please relatives were willing helped me to resolve the problem .before and afterwards I said thank you

    IC DRIVER that I the SUBSTITUTE for the number: NJM393.DIODA that BE
    DIAGRAM.OH YA,I ALSO had the PROBLEM that was SAME IN SONY the
    MODEL TV kV-DB34M61.FOR TYPE THIS ONE I ALSO did not yet have the
    SCHEME DIAGRAM. could I be helped along with the RESOLUTION?THANK YOU

    Logik LT2974 after replacing the LOPT and line drive transistor the set comes to life for roughly 1 minute it over heats and blows the line drive transistor again (heatsink paste in place). dry joints have been resoldered.

The problem of resistor of keep blowing caused by surge voltage,look for capacitor associated that resistor.The capacitor hold the voltage and distribute the exact volatage to that resistor if that capacitor is shorted or leaky,that is the caused of abnormal distribution. Also check the diode there and transistor.What is the number of IC driver you replaced,and do you have already schematic diagram?If not,i help you to give a links where you can avail.

    How many pins or legs that IC? I will give you a guide on how to troubleshoot the power supply and Sony links and the other links there's,this link is good you can download for free first you do,is to register there. If ever my solution is help you;you can change the first rating,you click.

    NO 300v at mains smoothing capacitor

    If there is no voltage at the Mains smoothing capacitor then we have a fault in one of the things before it.

    1. Mains Plug

    2. Mains Lead

    3. Fuse (1at to 3.15at)

    4. On/Off power switch

    5. Filter components

    6. Surge Limiter Resistor (1.5 to 9R) big wirewound

    7. Some Circuits have a Mains Standbye transformer and a relay(See circuit at bottom of page)

    3/6 If the fuse or the surge limiter has gone
    then DO NOT Repace it until you have checked the chopper transistor and bridge rectifier and degauss posistor are ok.
    First Unplug the degauss coil (you don't need it for now).
    then Test all 4 diodes of the bridge rectifier
    next test the chopper transistor for at least 20kohms from middle leg to both other legs

    Chopper Faulty
    If the chopper is faulty then look for and test all the high value resistors in the PSU area you may have to disconnect one end to get a good reading when faulty they usually go hi value.
    also change all the small electrolytic caps in the area (primary side)
    the small PSU control chip near may have gone also.

    Chopper transistor faulty

    The chopper rarely/never goes on its own, you must find the cause,
    High value resistors gone higher or O/C. Look for resistors of 47k to 330k and test resistance (you may have to lift one end to test properly). The SMP control chip may have blown its probably best to change it.
    I know this may sound daft, but now check the loptr for shorts (better than 20k is ok ) from loptr collector(middle leg) to chassis, for 2 reasons, first the line may have blown the power stage and make it uneconomical to repair, or secondly, at least you can disconnect it (if shorted) to prevent more psu damage.

    I usually connect a 40w250v light bulb across the ht line (after disconnecting the line stage) to test the psu under load and the half brightness glow to see if it flickers or the ht is too high
    Don't forget to test the diodes on the secondary side of the chopper transformer
    When the chopper transistor/chip blows it always takes out the fuse or surge limiter resistor.

    After the chopper is going again , leave it run for a few minutes and switch off , and see it its hot, if it is ,there is something else wrong.
    If all three legs are at same level (not zero) then look for low value resistor from emitter back to mains cap -ve pin.

    Bridge Faulty
    Replace Bridge
    rectifier complete and test the small capacitors across each leg. And retest the chopper transistor.

    Here the continuition of the links;

    Bridge Rectifier test

    Bridge rectifiers are actually 4 diodes sometimes in a pastic package or sometimes actually 4 actual diodes (see pic)
    Their purpose is to convert the mains AC to DC which is then smoothed my the mains smoothing capacitor (47uf to 400uf at 385v to 400v) in UK the mains peak voltage is usually about 310v to 320v on my meter

    Find the bridge rectifier :-
    Look for the mains input lead, follow it from the power on/off switch to the PCB (printed circuit board)
    On the pcb look for 4 diodes or a block of plastic with 4 legs (usually with + ~ ~ - marked on it, see picture below).
    If its 4 separate diodes and your meter has a diode test for
    test each diode (power off and unplugged) by connecting a prod to each end of the diode and then reverse the prods
    One way should give a short beep and read about 0.35 to 0.7 and the other way it should read 1.5 or more.
    test all diodes in the area (the bridge 4 are normally identical).

    If its a block type then connect meter red lead to one of the ~ legs and the black lead to the + leg its should read 0.6, move the red lead to the other ~ leg and the reading should be the same.
    Now do the same test with the test prods reversed and the reading should be high.
    Now connect the red prod to the leg marked -
    and the black prod to one of the ~ legs again 0.6 to both the ~ legs and when you reverse the prods the reading should be high.

Stand by light flashes 4 times when turn on and nothing happen

My KV-36HS500 doesn't turn on.

You will need 2 MCZ3001D or MCZ3001DBs and two 18 pin IC sockets. the chips are on the d-board inside the tv.

No picture or sound

6 blinks usually means a loss of the horizontal signal. This can be as simple as a bad capacitor or jungle IC. I'll look up your specific model, but do you intend to repair this yourself? If so, please update this and I'll provide additional details and instructions.

Sony Trinitron, no picture, sound works fine.

There are potentially dangerous high voltages present inside the set even when unplugged, so caution is required. That being said, if you can solder, you may be able to resolve this. If the picture returns with movement, it is possible that the problem is poor solder connections. Try removing the back and sliding out the main board. Resolder any connections that appear grasiny or have rings. That may resolve the problem.

This sounds like the beginning of a convergence IC failure. If you can solder, you should be able to resolve this yourself. Let me know if that is what you wich to do and I'll provide some additional details and instructions.

you may have cracked the circuit board when moving , sounds like a bad vertical circuit. look for bad connections around vertical ic or flyback transformer
