Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

Printer is a not ready. show the calibrating masage

it used to be with canon and epson printers in the past....in this case you need to clean the reel of the printer...or the ink is not working or even the toner

The printer's ink pads are nearing the end of their service life. Please contact Epson support.

That means the cleaning pads are old and need replacing. Contact Epson.
I had that and it worked out cheaper to buy a new printer.

Changing ink default to BLACK

Not possible.
Epson uses the black cartridge mostly, but also adds color to the black printing in order to keep the color inks from drying in the print jets on the printhead.
They also make lots of money that way...

===sorry===

Hopefully this utility will fix your problem.

Post under this thread if you still have issues with your printer or they don't list your model in the software.

Epson Stylus DX4400 purchased today scans but won't print. It seems to think it has no ink but the cartridged were put in today and nothing has been printed yet.

Have you fitted cartridges correctly ? removed any sealing tape?
Use buttons on printer to make it do a self-clean (see manual).

How do I stop my ink from going so fast

You can print lighter, but I can't help wonder why your Epson Desktop PC uses ink! Perhaps you mean printer instead, and know what model it is? Make a question in the right category!
