They both works just the same way.
And about your issue, try installing more recent driver update for your graphic card.

You forgot to tell what OS you are using,. but then try my recommendation..we almost have a similarity with my laptop,. thou am running a windows 7 ultimate 32bit,.. try this one under start menu> control panel> then power option> on that panel adjust your computer performance to high... there that goes,...

Free up more space on ur hard disk, then defragment it, nfs most wanted will load faster and u'll get no lags.
