Question about Honeywell Air Conditioners

1 Answer

We have a newly installed Honeywell CM900 wireless programmable room thermostat and HC60NG receiver box. The temperatures seem to be working in reverse for example : Room temp 20 degrees , If we request more heat by manualy changing temp say to 25 the boiler goes off. If we reduce the temp required to say 10 the boiler comes on. Also the led light on receiver box is on when boiler is off, and off when boiler is on, this is opposite to what the instruction say should be happening.

Have a honeywell thermo 7 day .how to change for centerage to farenheight

1. Turn system off.

2. Simultaneously press up & down arrows for 3 seconds.

3. You will then see a display with a large number to the left and a small number to the right.

4. You should then see a large #1 and a small #1.

5. You want to change that 1(Celsius) to a 0(Fahrenheit).

6. Do that by pressing up or down arrow.

7. Once you've changed that small 1 to a 0 you then press both the up and down buttons for 1 second about three more times to take thermostat back to original screen.

8. Now you should see your room temperature reading in Fahrenheit.

I bought a Honeywell RTH8500 thermostat and I can't get the temperature to go down past 75 degrees

You will need the installation book that came with the thermostat. There is a way to enter into the programming of the thermostat from the home screen. From there, you will need to find what code is the temperature settings in the manual, they are usually all 3 digit numbers. Once you find the code for the setting your looking for which is the lowest temp for the thermostat, it will have a 75 to the right of it which you can set a lower number. Sorry I do not have the manual right now to just tell you exactly how, but hope this still helps!

remove the batteries and turn beakers off to system air handler or furnace. Wait till screen clears so that T-stat will reset. Then re-install batteries and turn breakers to on.

if your problem has existed since the begining of installment it could be a return/ thermostat placement problem. if the return is to close to any supply vents it will run like that and your thhermostat will read like that
