Re: hp7110 inkject all in one
If it has been laying idle for yers, then it is likely the ink on printer heads, that has dried out, and now the print head are obstructed.
Try performing the head cleaning procedure a couple of times. If that does not work, you can try removing the printer heads (there must be a release lever at the side of carriage), and soaking the printer heads in isopropyl alcohol for several hours.
If that does not work , then the print heads must be replaced.
Note if cartridges used are also 3 years old, then it can also be the cartridge, try a new replacement cartridge set.

there are a number of possible errors here.
have the machine align its printheads
then have the machine complete colour calibration ( you will need good working printheads to complete the calibrations
when this is finished have the machine print out its config pages and demo print page ( you can find how to do this in the online user manual) this is done to Isolate the printer from the fault - if The demo page and config pages are printed correctly then the error lies external to the printer ( the software printing the document)
check to see if the correct printer driver is installed (to be sure uninstall then re-install) open the driver and check to see in Preferences/colour that the settings are 'let machine decide colours'
or set to adobe pdf. print out the test page from the driver and pay close attention to the windows logo at the top of the page- it should match that on the windows start screen
if you can see that the green yellows are still out of calibration then you may need to change the printheads ( CYAN/Yellow) as the error may lie internal to the printhead.
at the end of the day the fault lies most likely with the software setup or the printheads.
Usually this happens in inkjet, when you have a mix of the colors int he cartridge. so, inkject usually have 3 colors, Blue, Yellow, Red. If yellow color finds it's way towards blue, then instead of blue, you will see green.
You are correct ! Been there and done that ! mine is in the back garage collecting dust, I ended up paying almost $100 to replace cartridges only because the black was used up....Save yourself the $$ and replace the unit.
I have placed another "Epson" Printer in same place !
As the Print Tube falls off behind the carriage and it constantly had to be reconnected, It had got to the point of being a Headache ! I had purchased both units w/ 2 P.C combos at
"BestBuy" amagine that ! 'Bestbuy' means we have things
most department stores don't have ! I tried to explain the problems with the combination of the 2 pc bundled Printer's and I just got passed along until "Manager" was able to help ! So once again I explained to the Manager "Next Teenager" what was going on
He wanted me to bring in the complete "Bundle" PC and all !!
I finally had my fill and left, I will never buy anything there again..
But end result was that Epson is just as the Co. that represent it..
machine taken too long to warm up and throws up error code.

press group 5 codes and scroll down to sc code reset about 5-800ish...press and it will ask you to execute ,once done exit exit exit exit switch off and then on and your machine will come to ready. this is off the top of me head but it will work.
