SOURCE: BELKING SWITCH2

I've had one of these switches for a few years now. Just recently hooked it up again, only this time using a MS cordless mouse and keyboard. A bit different than the old wired mouse and keyboard I was using a few years ago, and we ran into this issue this time.

The switch requires the ScrollLock and the #2 to be keyed to switch. Twice on the ScrLk, then the 2 (on the number pad). After trying it with the wired keyboard and it worked, I looked at the wireless keyboard and noticed the ScrLk key was a function key. Hit the F Lock key and tried it again, and it worked this time.

I also found that with the power settings in the "save energy" mode, it had a tendancy not to switch when the other PC was asleep. Try hitting the reboot button to wake it up, and that might help.

Key things: Scroll lock key activated by hitting the Function Lock key. Wake up both systems so you know they're paying attention.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: connect Macbook Pro to Component input

you should be able to use an SVGA to component rca connector on any component input - i have a wd-65513, and thats how I have my pc hooked up to it. I could also never get a clear picture using the SVGA plug on the back of the set.

SOURCE: Have a Mitsubishi 65

You cannot use a PC on that model. Send me your e-mail address and I will forward the owners manual to you. It explains it on page 19.

How to switch from analog to digital mode

Any contemporary monitor is able to switch analog/digital mode automatically if connection from signal source to monitor is set up properly.

Connect digital output from your graphic card to DVI input of the monitor. Disconnect any other signal cables from monitor and switch on both devices (PC & monitor). Wait a while. Monitor checks its inputs and a activates digital DVI, because it is only one active input on it.

If none picture excluding error message of monitor is displayed, go through these steps:
1) Check whether your monitor is set for automatic input selection. If monitor buttons have no response try to use analog input to activate screen (any picture, desktop background...) and then get monitor menu access by pressing menu button.

2) Find out what connector type has your graphics card in PC. Possibilities are: DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort and some their options. See Wikipedia for connector look if you are not sure.
Remember that blue D-SUB (VGA) connectors are analogue and you cannot activate digital mode through analog VGA cable.

3) Use appropriate cable to connect monitor to PC.
Example: Your PC has HDMI output. Use HDMi-to-DVI cable. Your monitor input is DVI and common DVI-DVI cable is not suitable in case you have PC with the HDMI.
Note that DVI-to-DVI, DisplayPort-to-DVI etc. cables are available. You must buy right one.

Be aware that "Auto" button is inactive in digital mode of monitor.

Which accessories are a 'most have' for connecting my TV to a desktop pc?

You'll need:
•VGA cable
•S-Video Audio to 3 RCA Type Adapter Cable
•HDMI cable
•DVI cable
Check the connection options on your TV. If your TV has a VGA connection slot, plug the TV into the computer with a VGA cordlike a computer monitor. Connect one end of the VGA cable to the back of the computer and the other end to the TV. Switch between normal TV viewing to displaying your computer on your TV by selecting the proper mode from the remote control, some remotes will mark the proper mode as "VGA" while others will label it "Computer" or "PC."
Check the back of your computer to see if you have an S cable slot. Connect S cable portion of the S-Video Audio to 3 RCA Type Adapter Cable to the computer and plug in the green audio plug to the audio port of the PC. Plug the red white and yellow RCA cables into the matching colors of the RCA slots on the TV. With this method you will need to switch modes from TV to video.
Check the back of the computer and TV for either DVI or HDMI slots. The slots on your computer must match, you cannot connect a DVI to a HDMI. Plug one end of the corresponding cable into the the back of the TV and the other end into the computer. Choose the correct program mode, HDMI or DVI, from the remote to view the computer from the TV.

Philips 52'' LCD HDTV. Has PC Input Issue.

You will need to download and install the catalyst drivers and software for your ATI card from here http://game.amd.com/us-en/drivers_catalyst.aspx?p=win7/windows-7-64bit These are the drivers for the 64-bit version of Windows 7 and I believe that is what you are using. With the Catalyst software installed you can adjust the HDMI output to 1080p,1080i, or 720p so your TV will recognize it. Let me know if that works.

I have just changed from sky+ to sky+hd. My TV is a Philips 26PF4310/10 with a DVI connector. I purchased a DVI-D to HDMI connector as instructed by Sky engineer and picturewise it works fine but...

You need to connect sound separately - DVI only supports video and not sound. You'll notice a 3.5mm audio in jack on the back of the Philips. You need to plug your sound output in there.

Now using an hdmi to dvi cable - screen size has reduced

Your digital box should have aspect settings as well. When watching HD TV and or movies there is a possibility to get the black bars on top and bottom. It all depends on the ratio it was filmed in.
