Your recovery disk should have came with your PC
But i disagree with what Pc world told you because your problems sounds like hardware and a recovery cd is not going to help. Check your pcu cords are attached. and tell me if the Cd drive opens

Had a new hard drive installed by PC world now it works but tells me it is not a genuine copy and has a code 7601 what have they done?

When you took the computer to PC World, did you take your own Windows 7 recovery or install disks to them as well?
If not, then perhaps they have installed a different version of Windows 7 to the one that your computer has a licence key for.

Look at the Certificate of Authenticity label on the computer and see what version of Windows it says there, then compare this by right clicking on My Computer and opening the Properties page and see what version that says is installed.

If you have your own recovery or install disks, then you may need to reinstall Windows 7 yourself - or take it back to PC World and complain to them / get them to fix it properly!

The only other alternative would be to go to http://windows.microsoft.com/en-GB/windows/help/genuine/product-key and use the Microsoft Product tool which will guide you through the process to purchase a new product licence code for the actual product you now have installed.

I have a compaq SR1103WM computer . I lost everything the other day and was told to insall from recovery disk. My computer had no disk, so i installed from one i had found. Now i get a message from...

U should be having a Microsoft Windows sticker on the computer.
Use the product key on that to reactivate windows.
If that doesn't work, u will have to contact HP to get a recovery disc.

Jus keep me posted on your status.

I received a NTLDR is Missing on HP Pavilion a620n. This happened on Friday afternoon and I still can't get my Computer up and running. I was told I need Windows XP Recovery Disk. Where can I get this disk...

When you bought the computer it told you to make recovery disks. you apparently didn't.
You can buy the OS at a local store and do a system refresh which is really much better. None of your data or programs will be lost as thye would be with recovery disks.

Recovery disks are created by the os system U R using, before U crash. Normally there are no recovery disks because everyone sets up there system a little different. U R supposed to create a Rdisk after U have everything where and how U want it and it is operating good.

Recovery For ACER 3660

If you have recovery disk try starting them from Windows, or start computer with disk inside and chose 'boot from cd'.
After booting from recovery disc chose complete recovery.
Save a backup of your data, as complete recovery may delete the data.
If recovery disk does not work you will have to install Windows from a generic Windows setup disk, in this case refer to manual for how to.

Here is the user manual, check from page 82

My mp3 is not being rcognised by pc

Solution:
1)Recovery mode - to get PC to recognize player -
Try this: disconnect the player from the computer, turn it off, hold in the volume + button, and reconnect the player to the computer while holding the volume + button in. Keep holding the volume + button for an additional 5-50 seconds. Windows should eventually go into recovery mode and revive the player- it will pop up a window that says Found New Hardware Wizard.
2) To prevent future occurrences - make sure you have downloaded the installation CD or software - open Philips Device Manager (Start --> All Programs --> Philips D) - click on Update - twice - the player will upgrade to the latest firmware
