Sorry wrong Question.......I'm really frustrated right now. I have a TOMtom XL 30 Series that will now show nothing but a Big Red X when I plug it into my Truck.....HELP !!!!!

i deleted the stuff and reinstalled it.. it worked!!!!!
you can do it on your mac too...

Partial Solution
My Tomtom xl 30 (if it has not been used for a few hours) takes up to one minute of holding the power down to turn on. ie a reset!

I just received the tomtom XL 330-s and have plugged it into the computer. A big red x shows up telling me not to unplug it and a small icon blinks in the lower left corner. Then a picture of the tomtom...

This means that the application is corrupt or not installed. To resolve this, check out: www.tomtom.com/2053

When i turn on my tomtom, i get the tomtom icon but then i get a white cross in a red cicle flashing in the bottom right hand side of the screen, and nothing else happens.

Hello Here is some more information for you to follow to guide you step my step. Device displays a white or red cross
If your navigation device displays a cross after you switch it on, it means that the TomTom application is not installed correctly.
Note: It is normal for the navigation device to show a cross while it is connected to the computer.

The solution depends on which TomTom software is used for updating. Check which software your navigation device uses for getting updates.
Devices using MyTomTom for updates
For navigation devices that use MyTomTom, reset your device.
Devices using TomTom HOME for updates
For navigation devices that use TomTom HOME, you can solve this problem by installing the latest application on your navigation device.Here is also a link that will help you more. This will answer all your questions Mike

It is quite common tomtom bug.
Do: 1. backup restore or 2. copy all original SD files to your new formated SD card. Restart TomTom and see if it works.
