Krkchn,I think I`ve found out what the problem is:I`ve connected my cpu to a different motherboard,The motherboard turns on and then off at random times.when i remove the cpu from the socket it feels very hot.I think my cpu could have overheated and mybe that could have affected the motherboard too.

Do you hear a single beep when it turns on?

That is a complex problem and is probably the fault of the power supply which may have eventually taken out the motherboard as well. Are the computer fans running? If not, replace the power supply, the motherboard may still be good. If it is running, your motherboard could be damaged. If you want to further test the motherboard, better find a known good power supply as not to damage further the motherboard.

Gateway DX4822-01 power switch problems

The front of your computer is the Front Panel.

The area of contact pins on the motherboard, that the Main wires from the Front Panel go to, is the Front Panel header.

Main wires such as Power On LED, Power On switch, HarDDrive activity LED, and Reset switch; IF used.

Suggest KEEP track of where those wires go!

Make a drawing, and notes. I even use a magic marker, (Sharpee?), and make a notation of the Front Panel header pinout, on the floor of the computer case.

In this particular case it isn't known if the Power On switch is the problem, or the Power Supply.

Power On switch;
Power UNPLUGGED to computer, Anti-Static Precautions FOLLOWED; (Don't know? Post back in a Comment),

Remove the twisted pair of W/B and W/G wires, to the Power On switch pins, in the Front Panel header.

Plug power back into computer.
Use a small flat tipped screwdriver, and touch the two Power On switch pins. (Jewelers screwdriver works well for this application)

Power Supply comes on? Bad Power On switch.
Allow Windows to fully load, run for a few minutes; then turn the computer off normally.

Jump the two Power On switch pins again.
Power Supply comes on? You DEFINITELY have a bad Power On switch.

Power Supply does NOT come on?
We will go to a further diagnostic test then.
Awaiting results for first test, then we will go on.

My motherboard have power but no display on screen

Please follow the following :

* Make sure that you have connected the Monitor cable firmly.
* Make sure that CPU fan is spinning else check & make it run (your pc won't boot if you missed your fan).
* Check for any unusual beep sounds after you switch on.
* Remove your RAM, Power cables, other Add on cards. Clean/wipe them properly and reinsert them correctly.
* If your PC installed Graphic Card, remove it and run your PC again using your onboard vga port.
* Replace your Power Supply Unit with another good conditioned one.
If the problem persist check your processor.

Dumping phusical memory while playing fifa

windows seems to shut down while you're playing,
maybe due to an internal conflict.
(that is why it dumps...)
check for IRQ conflicts and if there is enough space available on drive c:!

if still have the prob only when playing FIFA 2009, check if computer meets minimum system requirements and the graphics card is functioning properly.
turn down ingame screen resolution.

still have the issue?
please come again providing more infos on PC system, win version and graphic/video card1
