The quickest method is to download the manual from D-link, click here.
After reading it over that would be the fastest solution. Good Luck

We brought CS9008 -1-U , connected in network, configured basic setup, still the Perle console port connected NW switch is not up

Please get the switch port status on the Network switch.
Connect a laptop to the network switch where the CS9008 -1-U is connected and see if thge link is comming up or not

There are below reasons the link should not come up

1. Speed is not matching/same configured on the both the end (CS9008 -1-U & the Network Switch port)
2. Network switch port is administatrtively down
3. Cable faulty

2 routers. Can i have two routers within the same workgroup. My wireless router will not work from one end of the house to the other. I need to have more than one wireless transmitter so my laptop will...

Hi,

Yes you can have the setup in your workgroup in multiple ways.

Solution1:-
The logic will be making your new wireless router to act as a wireless booster which will receive the signal from your old wireless Router and then retransmits the signal. But this needs some extra configuration on your new wireless router

1. You have to select the WDS ( wireless Distribution System) mode in the new wireless router.
2. Set the same SSID on the new wireless router.
3. In the new wireless router config page , search for the wireless signals and select your old router from that list.

The WDS mode tells the new wireless router to send/receive the wireless signal to the old wireless router.

Solution 2:-

Connect your old wireless router LAN interface to a network switch through a CAT5e UTP cable and the new wireless router to another port of the switch (use a cable which can be extended to the other room where you want the new wireless router to be placed).

Configure the same SSID you have set in the old wireless router.

Best Regards

Inter-vlan routing

Unfortunately, the 5224 is a Layer 2 switch. In order to route between VLANs, you need a Layer 3 device somewhere else on your network. In other words, either a true router, or a multi-homed PC acting as a router, or a true Layer 3 switch. The 5224 is incapable of routing within itself. Sorry!!

Ip address changed, and canot figure how to change in linksys set up

Hi,
restore the linksys to default setting by using a little switch on the back of router between ethernet port and anteena. press that button using any thin screw driver and power on that after keep pressing for 1-2 mins only. it will restore your router to default setting. now its default ip will be 192.168.1.1 and default username & password will be admin.you can now open it in web browser and configure it.

My voice is not being heard

hi alwayes start chcking a problem from the end and back 1) check the MIC on your handset - connect it to something else and see if it works good... 2) check your output if there is any noise (voltage, other system....) if all is good then the problem is probeply in your COMP: check all audio configurations if that didnt help then its a hardware problem.... good luck
