When you start your computer Press F2 or F12 to make changes in Boot sequences.Make the CD-ROM or DVD-ROM 1st in the Sequence. Save the Changes and Exit. Before rebooting put the XP CD inside the CD-ROM Drive and reboot.
If you donot have Driver's CD of Motherboard,it is better to make Driver's CD before reinstallation.

What is the features of fedora Linux operating system?

Fedora is an open-source Operating System which means that it is free to use, in that it does not cost any money and it gives you the freedom to manipulate or modify the software as you wish.

The requirements needed to install Fedora are also relatively low, allowing it to operate on older hardware. From Fedora's website (http://fedoraproject.org/):
  • 400 MHz Pentium Pro or better processor (comparable AMD, Cyrix, and VIA processors also acceptable)
  • At least 768 MB memory (RAM), 1 GB recommended for best performance
  • 10 GB disk space / storage
Fedora is also considered to be much more secure of an OS than Microsoft Windows or Macintosh.

Fedora also has a large selection of software available that will allow you to do a multitude of things, such as watch movies, view and manipulate photographs, listen to music, create documents, any much more.

How to install linux fedora 7, already i am using windows 7, now i want to use dual os's , please tell me how to install linux.

WARNING: I will not be responsible for any data loss that occurs. It is recommended to backup your hard disk to external media before commencing any of these operations. 1. Download and burn the Fedora LiveCD. It is recommended that you use the latest version, Fedora 14, instead of 7, but you can use Version 7 anyways. 2. Boot up with the Fedora LiveCD. Select Install. 3. Follow the instructions displayed onscreen. When you reach the partitioning screen, you will need to resize your Windows partition. Resize it to a reasonable size (1024MB =1GB). Leave at least 5GB for Fedora to install. 4. After resizing, select the "Use Free Disk Space" option, and continue installing. 5. Your system will be installed with Fedora and the GRUB bootloader. The GRUB bootloader will allow you to boot into both Windows and Fedora.
I hope this post helps you. I appreciate your vote very much!

Windows not booting

Hello,

Regarding on your problem, the main issue their is the booting problem of XP after you delete the fedora operating system. That's common problem especially when the computer are in dual boot OS then you delete the other OS. Now, the reason why it usually fall into this problem its just because the XP is your core OS then you install Linux Fedora inside in XP so whatever changes you have done in fedora particularly deleting Linux OS inside XP affects the overall performance of your XP and eventually if you delete the Fedora without proper unistallation process done by Linux OS then the Boot Loader of your XP will also corrupt or delete that's the main cause of boot failure in your XP OS. Now the best solution there is to repair your XP by inserting the XP CD Installer and boot the CD to repair your OS or you can reinstall the XP OS without formatting the storage to prevent the lost of your data that has not yet already copyed a back up.

Please do this recommendation to save and restore your XP.

thanks

How can i play videos in fedora10

This is what the VLC website says:

Fedora 9 and Fedora 10 Use RPM Fusion for F9 and F10 (available for x86, x86_64, ppc and ppc64)
Install rpmfusion-free-release-stable.noarch.rpm for F9 and f10
$> su -
#> rpm -ivh http://download1.rpmfusion.org/free/fedora/rpmfusion-free-release-stable.noarch.rpm
#> yum install vlc
#> yum install mozilla-vlc (optionnal)
I'm not a Fedora man myself so hopefully this makes sense to you.

If not I'll see what I can dig up.

Best of luck!

Fixya Chat client for LINUX fedora 10

Hi,
I actually don't know if one is available, but you could email General Support - support@fixya.com

I was wondering though if you can install under WINE in Fedora? I am used to Ubuntu, but have actually burned the Fedora10 .iso to a disk, but haven't played with it yet, so I don't know if you can install WINE to it, but I presume you can.
Maybe you could mount XP, grab the Chat Client Installer and see if you can run it using WINE?
I know it probably won't be listed as being supported by the repository, but it wouldn't hurt to try..
Good Luck
