Question about Edirol UA-4FX External Sound System

UA-4FX Very static-like feedback / interference

I have my ua4fx plugged by usb into my laptop and then connected to a yamaha av receiver through the L-R Outputs. It was fine for a while although now when its on theres this static-like feedback in the background, its okay when im listening to loud music because you cant hear it but i also noticed that the static is there when i record things through direct inputs and also via different mikes, all the same problem. It almost sounds like radio interference or something. I have updated the drivers and most other things like that. If you think of a good solution email blinkthis69@hotmail.com please.

I have an HP Pavilion Laptop that runs to this device via USB and I get that same gnarley digital static thats audible at any volume level past medium. Youre right, when you play music loudly it overcomes it, but softer music and just idling on the computer without music reveals this awful noise.

Me too with a Toshiba laptop. I use also acid 6.0 and acid looses sync sometimes. I also think it is no static but all audioglitches. Because I just installed the UA I do not know if it is caused by windows or whatever. I changed everything already: background services, all kinds of windows settings, removed all other usb devices, nothinhg works.

Outgoing noise from USB port on my UA-4FX

probably not the USB cord because the chances of a faulty USB cord are slim, and I think it's the computer or the input/output chord.

No sound out from input

It's probably your computer, more specifically the type of application you're running it on/in. Also, when you install or fiddle with the settings, you have to be careful because it can be so confusing fixinfg them.

Problem with guitar

1.make sure the guitar/mic switch is pointed to the guitar side. increase the guitar/mic level. increase the output level. 2.another thing you can do is check the "sound and audio devices" to see if everything is set to Edirol UA-4FX. If everything isnt, fix it so that it does. and remember to disable your computers stock sound card. Edirol UA-4FX is your new sound card from now on. 3. if thats not the case, try reinstalling the drivers. 4. If all of the above fail, you probably have a loose connection/ bad wiring in the guitar/mic 1/4" input. you can choose to open up the device and solder that yourself and possibly lose your warranty or have the entire unit replaced. Hope I helped! good luck!
