When our system was installed , the installation engineer set the following - button 23 was set up as Day/Night button and button 23 set as Call Fwd to a mobile number , and button 22 is set as Call Fwd cancel . To set the call forward both button have to be pressed to activate and to cancel buttons 22 & 24 have to be pressed . This mobile number no longer exists and we need to change the number but cannot work out how to do it . Unfortuanately , the manual has disappeared so can anyone p[lease offer any suggestions .

Now you have a manual. Look at the *7 commands on page 191. My guess is the installer put *714x commands under the button, but he may have done some 44 commands via personal programming. You did write them down? The 3rd piossibility is that it references a bin that is programmed as a mobile number...you can assign any 3 digit number in the universe of 100 to 699
as an ICD number that forwards all calls to an outside number.

Tip: The max point reward for answering a question is 15.
You have to set the button up first. You can press the FWD button (or press INTERCOM and dial *710) then x (500 or 165 for your voice mail) #, where x is 2 for all calls, 3 for busy, 4 for no answer and 5 for busy/no answer. That will set the FWD for calls. To set DND, dial *7101. Once you set those codes, your FWD/DND will toggle between the 3 steps of OFF/DND/FORWARD.
*7100 cancels the button. These are the codes for All calls. There are 711 and 712 codes for internal and outside calls if you need to split them. Also, the No Answer and busy timer can be adjusted by the *713yy command where yy is the number of seconds. A good number is *71324 which gives you about 4 rings.
This is explained in you phone system Operating Manual (OM) under Call Forward and Do Not Disturb.
If you have "A" manual, you probably don't have the right one. There are 5 and one of them is the Operating Manual. Basically, find extension 101, go to it and without picking up the handset press PROGRAM **1234. and dial 000. Somewhere it will be the entry to the DATE and TME settings. Your FWD and CONF keys will step the cursor forward and back and the STORE or ENTER button will save the changes after you dial the proper time.
If you have not found an answer to this as yet just pick up intercom and enter 7100 at the phone. This will clear any DND. Now enter intercom 7105165. This will give a long tone and the DND/FWD lamp will flash showing Call forwarding active for VM.
Assuming this is a Panasonic system TDA50, TDA or TDE 100/200 or NCP systems. There are many fwd codes on these systems,done on a per phone basis. To do a fwd all calls (meaning the phone will not ring) dial code *7102+9+number+pound. If you would like to set for call fwd no answer then *7104+9+number+pound. And for call fwd busy no anser the code is *7105+9+number+pound. Keep in mind this is on a per phone basis. If your company is using a ring group to ring the phones this will need to be setup different using the day/night mode and set the night to go to a group that is fwd to your answer service. A phone must be assigned to the group then that phone can set group fwd by dialing *7141+group number+9+phone number+pound. Example if I was using group 3, defualt number 603, to number 555-1234 and group 603 has ext. 102 assign to it then from ext. 102 dial *714160395551234#.

Press the FWD/DND button, then scroll through the menu button until the screen shows "FWD No Answer time". Then use the number key pad to change from 000 seconds to 010 seconds (or longer if required). Then exit out of the menu.
I have seen the same problem with some users (I look after the PABX) so I just go into the maintenance console and set up the foreward to the default voice mail number. Or you can try the following:
CALL FORWARDING HANDSET
1.Press the Speaker Phone Key on your handset
2.Then Press the FWD/DND Key
3.Then select the Forward type you desire -
Key 2 - Immediate
Key 5 - Busy/No Answer
4.Then dial the internal extension number (eg.444) or voicemail pilot (201)
4a.If forwarding to external number dial 0 then dial outside telephone number
5.Dial # then press the Speaker Phone key
What you can do is go into the management console for your system and find the forwarding this is under extentions option 2 fwd/dnd select your extention number and on the bottom option FWD No Answer Time (s) set it to 10 or more and this will change the number of rings.
