There are many reasons why your computer may act that way, the error 0xc0000005 is actually a Windows Validation Error.

In many cases this error has been generated by faulty RAM memory. So if you have just upgraded your computer with some new memory and you started getting this error then I would remove them and see if the error goes away. If it does then send the memory back and get a refund.

If in case you just updated your graphics card drivers before this problem occured, you may just roll it back. Also keep an eye on the vendors website to see if they have an update/patch available or coming soon.

if you have other questions just lemme know okay.

Cannot load profile

Can't load profile is a common error. It means your profile is corrupt. You can try logging in under a different profile, if that let's you in you can run System Restore. If there is no 2nd profile to load to, it's time to reload the OS.

Tip

User Profile Service failed the logon error message

The User Profile Service failed the logon.
User profile cannot be loaded is a message you sometimes get in Vista or Windows 7. Many suggest editing the registry but for novice users that can be dangerous. Here is an alternative solution.
Logon in safe mode.
  • Restart your computer and log into safe mode: As your computer is rebooting, press F8 Repeatedly after your POST screen. If you get the OS screen, you need to start over.
  • Choose safe mode with networking
  • Open internet explorer and copy and paste this site into the address bar:
http://www.thewindowsclub.com/fix-the-user-profile-service-failed-the-logon-user-profile-cannot-be-loaded
  • Click on Microsoft Fixit which is down the page

If this resolves your issue, 4 thumbs would be appreciated.

My desk top comp was purchased in 09, the last couple of months it has kept getting slower and slower, green screens will apper and I will have to restart the computer. this past week it has been...

Hi,

Switch ON the PC, boot the PC in 'Safe Mode' by continuously tapping F8 button after you switch On.

Let windows boot in Safe Mode and log in to windows.

Go to 'Start'--->Programs--->Accessories--->System Tools--->System Restore

Here you will have to check "Restore computer to an earlier time' and click Next
Now you will find one Month Calendar window with Dates below, go to the previous month by clicking the '<' sign in the upper left hand corner of the Month Calendar and select any date that you see in Bold.

The detail of that particular date should show "System Checkpoint" and time on the right hand side box. Select that date.

Now, Click on Next and System Restore will start and windows will take a reboot.

After reboot login to windows and

Go to 'Start' and then Run
write "msconfig" inside Run tab and press 'enter'
inside the 'System configuration utility' window click on 'startup' tab then uncheck all the applications except your current antivirus and press apply then 'ok' and then 'exit without restart' option.

Now right click My Computer and go to properties tab.
click 'Advanced' tab then under performance menu click on 'settings'
go to 'Advanced' click on 'change' and increase your virtual memory to 2048 in both spaces.
Now restart windows.

To quickly restart windows press CNTRL+ALt+DEL
inside task manager you will find all the open applications.
right click on each application and click on end process tree then ok

Close all your apps like this and you will find your windows a lot faster and now you can reboot or turn off your windows as usual from start button.

Next time you login to windows your issues will be resolved.

If you feel that my answers have helped you getting solution to your problems then please give a vote.

Thanks.

Would not restart shutdown&startup after installing a new product

What new product?

Try booting into Safe mode and uninstalling the application.

When you first start the machine continually tap the "F8" button. This will bring you to a screen where you will have several choices to start your machine. Choose "Safe mode" (using the cursor keys on the keyboard). You can try "Last known good configuration" but it doesn't always work.

After choosing "Safe mode" it will then ask what operating system (just hit enter if you have only one).

Then a DOS like screen will come up (listing the drivers that will load). Wait several minutes (shouldn't take more then 2 minutes) and the machine will then go into safe mode. It may ask which profile to load, so just make sure to choose one with "admin rights".

You will then be in "safe mode". Don't be alarmed because everything will look strange (it only loads the basic drivers to start the machine).

Go to Control panel and uninstall your application.

Hope this helps.

I keep getting an error message when I start up my laptop. the 2 wire gives me a "corruption has been detected in feature manager, backup file has been loaded", and it will not connect. All other programs...

If the machine is a Dell with DellControlPoint, open start, run then type msconfig and hit enter. Choose the Startup tab and find the startup item named "Dell" with the Command from "C:\Program Files\Dell\Dell Control Point\Connection Manager\Dell.UCM.exe" and uncheck the box. Hit Ok, then reboot your computer.

My computer wont start up

First try pressing F2 at start up to see if you can get to setup. Also pressing F12 may get you a boot menu. If cd is already set as first boot you may get a chance to boot from a Windows cd. The idea here is to get to a minimal Windows configuration like setup or safe mode (F8) to see if this is a hardware or operating system fault. Two common issues with eMachines are power supply problems where repetitive reboots can actually fry the motherboard or if the PC has a few years use the CMOS battery. Steve Medley

Error messages

one reason for the GWUtil97.dll error is:
  • A DLL file that was needed for more than one program on your computer was accidentally deleted when you uninstalled an unused software program, and now the program that needs that file can’t find it.
  • A new software application has been installed on your computer and it wrote over top of the DLL file that another program needs. Sometimes the version that has replaced the old DLL file isn’t compatible with the older program.
  • Sometimes software installs and uninstalls don’t work the way they should and a DLL file gets damaged or corrupted.
  • Malicious spyware or adware software has been secretly loaded on your computer and is messing about with your Windows DLL file structure. *Recommended: use this free download anti-spyware scan to see if you’re infected.
  • Occasionally, your computer has a hardware part that’s dying, like a hard drive or RAM chip and your DLL files are being mixed up or corrupted as a result.
  • Damage to your Windows Registry is affecting the way your DLL files operate.
then 2 problem with user log in-

to fix do this go to 'C:\Documents and Settings\USERNAME' , where USERNAME is your user. Then right click on the folder and go to 'Sharing and Security...' Click on the security tab and make sure that SYSTEM has full permissions. If SYSTEM is not there, add it and then give permissions

or...

delete ntuser.dat in your profile, windows will recreate it or if you dont want to take the risk then...

Search for ntuser.man & rename it to ntuser.dat if you don't pick up ntuser.man, then logg in with safe mode & networking as administrator, rename the corrupt profile, then, logg in again as yourself so that a new profile is created.
