There is definitely some issue with the motherboard. the only option is to replace it.

LED TV - replaced power board but still no backlight? LED backlights do not seem to work.

yes the led backlight for whatever reason is not functioning and that is the root cause of your problem. Unfortunately to find a replacement led backlight is tough as the backlight is normally fixed with the lcd panel and has to match the voltage and all that stuff with motherboard. and if that doesn't match you might short the tv itself. this case is as good as getting a replacement lcd panel.

When I push the power on button.I've taken It apart and tested the power supply board,240volts AC Is going In at the edge connector but the DC out connector shows no dc volts coming out.

Check all fusible links (such as 0 ohm resistors) and the voltage regulator as well as the rectifier.
You may also have a shorted capacitor, check all electrolytic caps.

Will not come on

Hello bad minton 2 hi, check the common things first.
1. power cable, make sure its good. 2. AC mains outlet. 3. Loose AC port connection of the power cable. 4. Power switch.
If all is OK. problem is the main power supply board. Now you may need to open the back cover. Caution: this should be done by a pro. 1. Check the fuse for open. if open proceed if not go to 3. 2. Check now for shorts like diodes and transistors. 3. Check for voltage outputs. you need a manual or diagram for this. 4. To check for voltage readings, you need a multitester for this: 4a. check the ac 110/220 volts entering the power supply module. check the cable. 4b. check the dc output from the filter capacitor. no output, check the fuse or fusing resistor. diodes 4c. now the voltages at the VCC line after the regulator. If no readings problem with the switching circuit. Note this is not as simple as you think. have a tech guy do the work if you cant find the problem.

My laptops screen does not come on even though the unit powers up,i have tried another screen, and tried using external monitor, neither worked, the lights by power button also don;t light.

Did you check the power supply? They go bad and if you get no power, nothing else will work. You can check the power supply by plugging the unit into an outlet and then using a volt-ohm meter measuring the voltage at the cylinder which normally plugs into the computer. If there is no voltage (DC) present, then the supply is bad. You can get a replacement online or at the place you purchased the unit.

Dell E153FPc switches off (black Screen) after a few minutes. If you switch it off & back on again it will stay on for a few minutes, then go off again.

You could have an inverter board problem. The inverter supplies high voltage to the CCFL lamp which provides the back-lighting.

Monitor won't turn on, no led.

If the LCD has an internal power supply, then the inverter circuit should be on the board as the power supply. If the power supply is external, then the inverter circuit will have it own board.

What is the output of the Inverter circuit? It should have 12VDC going in, but around 50VAC going to the CCFL bulbs.

The "no led" should be a sign. Your getting voltage, but what about current? It still can be the power supply. All LCD monitors should have a "soft switch", or software driven switch to turn the CCFL lamps on and off.

It is hard to find literature on LCD repair, experience is the best teacher on this subject. This might take several emails or postings to help find the answer.

LCD monitors are a computer. You can break them into several parts, Power, I/O, and processing. Power is the easiest to trouble-shoot and repair. Processing is the hardest.

I fixed one LCD monitor by re-seating the software EEPROM. The process could not do its job if it can not read the software EEPROM.

If one of your IC's is shorted, you can always tell using a can of air. Get one of those cans of air and tip it upside down and spray the entire board until it all turns white. Now apply power to the system. If an IC is shorted, it generates more heat than anything else. It will be the first to loose the white condensation. Don't worry this is safe, done it several times.

Use a DMV (AKA Digital Volt Meter) or an Analog Volt Meter) to check the polarity of the plug. Not sure how to use a meter? Plug the red lead into the center post of the adapter and touch the black lead to the outside ring. With a DMV it should show a positive voltage if the center post is Positive or negative voltage if the center is Negative. With an analog meter (red - center) positive voltage, (black - center) the needle tries to swing to the left of 0 volts. Being 12VDC don't worry about being shocked the voltage and current is low enough that if you were to get shocked it feels like a little tingle and is direct current not an alternating current (AC) which if handled improperly will cause your heart to stop. Remenber it's not the voltage that kills, it's the amount of amperage. (12VDC 3A -- AC Adapter) vs. (12VDC 700A -- Car Battery) Car battery wins !!! You can weld metal with a car battery but not with the AC adapter. Rule of thumb, You can always under supply the amperage just not over supply it except with fuses. Fuses were designed to limit the amount of amperage that the circuit can handle. Putting a smaller amperage fuse might get by for awhile, but will blow instantly during a power spike. Replacing with a higer amperage fuse will not allow the fuse to blow and cause the circuitry to overload and cause a fire. (Bad !!!!! Do not ever do this).

Hopes this helps.

Help on monitor repair

Have you checked the horizontal output transistor for a short or leakage?? most of these sets will not start up unless the horizontal sweep sends the pulse to the power supply and says start me up!! I would look at bthe drive as well on the horiz. curcuit. If theres a pulsating voltage that means its waiting for something to signal it to work or its missing something.. Good luck
