Question about Apple MA590LLA Mac Desktop
Will not turn on
1. check to make sure all it plugged in tightly (it happens), and that surge bar is on (that happens too).
2. Hold shift key down when booting for safe boot, the go to disc utilities to repair permissions. 3. Boot from Disc Warrior or Tech Tool Pro and see if that works. Run tests from these discs. 4. Reinstall OS 5. Swear a lot and send it in to be fixed.

a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.

The RAM needs to be installed in matched pairs in a G5. There ar 2 banks of RAM slots. Ram should be installed from the centre outwards. (i.e bottom slot of the upper bank and top slot of the lower bank). Then move on to the next pair.

SOURCE: leopard OS
Is the hard drive SATA or IDE. On IDE, I know you can use delpart. Locate a SATA tool to wipe the partition of SATA drives. Install LEOPARD as usual then after rebooting.
