Seems to be a definate electrical issue tho i doubt it is the motherboard. I can't clearly tell from the picture.... is the display cover the whole viewing part of the monitor or not ?

i suspect that monitor is failing... just not certain if it's a board issue or the lcd screen itself.

Some questions do spring to mind... have you jarred the monitor recently... although it usually manifests itself as a colour issue unhook the cord that plugs into your video and inspect the pins. try a replacement to eliminate that if you have a spare.

Very old fashioned test that will confirm some things.... smack the side of it (not to hard) and changes.... and don't hit it alot just enough to see if there are changes.

Have you already tried to do a Degausse? That would be an option on the Display menu.

Would you be able to try another computer and connect it to the monitor? This will help isolate the problem.

Ok, There are 3 things it could be. 1) the computer. 2) the cable between the computer and the monitor. 3) most likely is the main board in the monitor. I have looked and cannot find the replacement part for this but will check another spot tomorrow at the office. Let me know what you find with the computer and the cable! If both of them are good I will get you a part number if there is one available.

Osd lockout? How do I get the on screen display unlocked?

OSD Lockout prevents changes being made to the monitor through the use of the front panel buttons. When the OSD is locked, pressing a button from front panel displays OSD Lock-out for about 10 seconds. You can quickly remove the OSD Lockout message by pressing a front panel button again. To unlock the OSD, press and hold the Menu button until the Main menu displays, about 10 seconds. To lock the OSD, press and hold the Menu button until an OSD-Lockout message displays, about 10 seconds.
