Ipod Touch wont turn on

Your iPod has been working fine and all of a sudden it won't turn on. Not sure why? Before you rush to your nearest Apple store, try these easy-to-use, at-home solutions for fixing your iPod.

Check the Hold switch to see if it is off. Located on the top or the bottom of the iPod, when it is in the "on" position you will see an orange patch of color. Slide the switch until the orange coloring disappears. Try to turn on the iPod. Make sure the battery is fully charged by connecting your iPod to your computer's built-in FireWire or USB port or into an electrical outlet using your Apple iPod power adapter. Note: iPods without a click wheel cannot be charged using a USB port. After your battery is fully charged, try to turn on the iPod. Reset your iPod. iPod Shuffle: Disconnect iPod Shuffle from the computer if connected. Move the power switch to the off position. Wait five seconds. Move the switch to the play in order or the shuffle position. iPod Touch: Press and hold the Sleep/Wake and Home buttons together for at least 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears. iPod Nano (all generations), iPod Classic, iPod Mini: Turn the Hold switch on and off. Press and hold the Menu and Select buttons at the same time until the Apple logo appears, making sure to not touch any part of the click wheel. This should take about six to eight seconds and may need to be repeated. If your iPod still won't turn on, check the following: Make sure the iPod is the only device in your FireWire or USB chain. Disconnect everything but the mouse, keyboard and iPod, and try again. Double check that you are using the FireWire or USB cable that came with your iPod, and that it is in good condition. Try the built-in port of a different computer.

How to reset a frozen ipod click wheel and touch

To reset any frozen iPod with a click wheel, you will first want to ensure that the hold button is not on or stuck by sliding it to the on position and then off again.
Next you will need to simultaneously press and hold both the menu and center buttons for at least six seconds but until the apple icon appears on the screen.
If this does not resolve the issue, the next best resolution is to plug the iPod into a wall charger and let it charge for several hours or until fully charged.
    Then repeat the reset process.

To reset an iPod touch, you will need to press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least six seconds or until the Apple icon appears.
As will the iPod click wheel models, if the first attempt does not work I would suggest charging the unit for several hours or until fully charged. After words, repeat the reset process.
If a reset does not resolve the issue, the next trouble shooting step would be to restore the iPod using the latest version of iTunes.
To restore an iPod touch, open iTunes on your computer and connect iPod touch to your computer with the provided USB cable. After a moment or two you will notice that in the left column under Devices, you will be able to see an iPod icon; click on your iPod touch, then click on Restore in the Summary tab. Follow any on screen instructions and do not remove the iPod until after it is completely restored.
To restore an iPod click wheel, open iTunes on your computer and connect iPod touch to your computer with the provided USB cable. After a moment or two you will notice that in the left column under Devices, you will see an iPod icon; click on your iPod. In the resulting page you will see a button that says restore. Click that and follow any and all on screen instruction ensuring that you do not disconnect your iPod until it is completely restored.
WARNING: If you do not have a back up of your data on the iPod you will have to re-gather it. I always recommend making a back up of your iPods content before an issue arises to ensure that there will be no lost data.

My ipod touch will not turrn on or reboot whats wrong?

Checklist to see if your iPod needs a reboot:

    . Your iPod is charged.

*If not, you might have to plug in your iPod, and make sure the computer can't go to sleep while it's charging. The iPod won't charge if the iPod is locked, so no orange.

Charging your iPod problem solution, that also works.

    * Your iPod might need to completely drain in battery source before you can charge it. If that's the case, leave the iPod unplugged for 24 hours before trying to charge it. That will make sure the power is drained and your iPod is ready to be charged.

    2. Your iPod is unlocked. Slide the button back and fourth a couple of times, just to make sure it's working.

    3. And your iPod still has a black screen, frozen logo, or white screen.

    Rebooting your iPod.

    1. Run a cold boot (shut your computer down, then turn it back on) on your computer. * If your iPod crashed because of the software freezing, or the computer crashed.

    2. Open your Apple Software.

    3. Plug in your iPod. Make sure that you plug in your iPod into your computer, and that the plugs are secure. Your computer should detect your iPod, black screen or not.

    4. Set down the iPod. Take your iPod and put it on a flat surface.

    5. Press firmly. Take your fingers, and firmly press the middle button, and the menu button. It will read menu on the top button of the click wheel, and the center circle of your click wheel is what your looking for.

    * Make sure your fingers are planted on the top of the center button, close to the menu button, and you are pressing it together.

    6. Count to 8.

Now you should see an Apple logo pop up on your iPod screen.

Sometimes you need to try it a few times, to get it to work.

It should be synchronizing and happily you should be on your way.

*You also can reboot your iPod without it being plugged into the computer, I always do mine while it's plugged in.

you have to erease all the dta on mines and put the music and everything back on,
