Rca 27f520t tv turns off by its self

This is a common problem with these TV's caused by the buttons at the front. Free fix 1 which can work - press the buttons heaps of times quite hard.Free fix 2 - remove the buttons altogether and use your remote.More expensive fix - Replace the switches, they are called tact switches:MCM part # 28-10720 - http://www.mcmelectronics.com/

Try the above in the above order. Hope this helps!

RCA Truflat 20F512T turns itself off and on

If it is an intermittent problem, changing the tact switches on the main board solves a lot of these problems. Tact switches are on front of main chassis where customer controls activate them.

RCA 32" TV went off suddenly and won't come back on

Replace operator/control panel, or clean the board and replace all the switches on it. The tact switches get flakey and cause a multitude of problems.

RCA 32" TV

The most likely problem is a stuck tact switch, if it goes up in channel number, 5, 6, 7, etc. then the channel up button is stuck, if it counts down it`s obviously the ch. down button. Problem is you have to remove the guts of the set to get at the control boards screws, you can try turning on the set and poke around the offending push button with a tooth-pick, if it stops changing channels leave it alone and use your remote from now on to change channels, if you can`t get it to stop the tact switches or the control board module will have to be swapped out, hope this helps
