No image Just happened! Turned on proj. and laptop, but no picture . I tried doing the function button and F8 but no good. I tried rebooting, no go. When I picked it up, it seemed hotter on the bottom than I recall. It's been a few weeks. Any idea?

Oh my, of course I checked the connection and the user manual. This is why I'm posting this question to you! Any one else have a solution?

The warning light did not go on , so if there is still a light projecting, would the bulb be bad? I had already checked the filter and it was clean, as I clean it regularly. Any ideas?

First lets determine whether the projector is capable of producing a picture.

1) If you hit the menu button, do you see a menu on the screen? If not, then the problem is inside the projector.

2) You state that you see light. That would indicate that the lamp has fired and should be good.

3) Is there a shutter button? Some projectors allow you to do a quick "fade to black" by closing a shutter. Check for this.

4) If you do see a menu, run thru each of the input possibilities. If you have selected the wrong input mode, there will be no picture.

Please update this with what you find and we'll continue from there.

Thanks,
Dan

Check to see if your cable has any bent or broken pins, happened to me once, all I had to do is carefully unbend the pin with pliers (ultimately, use another cable). Also, check if it hasn't burnt out already, too much heat can ruin it.

Projector has image on screen but cannot get connectrion to laptop to project pwerpoint

Be sure you have the right input selected. You might try Auto Search. Then toggle the laptop using the F8 or proper function key to display the output to the projector or in both places. Sometimes the laptop must be hooked up to the projector before the laptop is turned on. Hope one of these works.

Are you "sending" the image from your laptop?

That is you have a function key, usually F7 (IBM) or F8 (Dell) to send the VGA signal. Press the Function FN key and F7 or 8 together to send the signal. (Maximum resolution of the 3M is 1280X768)

Good Luck

What should the projector settings be if connected to a hp laptop.. and how?

The projector is capable of 1280x1024 and 1280x720. That is great for HD and gaming! Look on the function keys...An example would be F4 or F8...There will be a symbol of a TV screen. Press and hold the "alt" button and then press the key with the symbol on it. That tells the laptop to send the video display to an external display. You should see it on both your laptop and projector. Press the buttons again, ONLY the projector will have the image. A final press of the buttons will return you to laptop-only viewing.---rick

SRC button on cinego projector will not read source

Hi,

Three (3) things you can try:
1. Lower down the Screen resolution of your laptop as well as the Color quality and the Screen refresh rate before doing the Fn + F5. If it works, adjust thereafter;
2. Do a soft (Factory) reset of your Cinego in the in the Management Menu (credit to Cooljazz); and/or
3. it is just "slow" in sensing the presence of a VGA source as it cycles in its selection, internal DVD, VGA, Composite Video IN. Since it does not have a manual source selection, your only option is to really wait or ...Verify that "Auto Source Select" is enabled in the Management Menu (buttons-Proj/Setup then >/9) and "tap" the "SRC" button on the projector itself to manually initiate the input/source selection.

Hope this be of some help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
