Sorry, I thought I had included that. It's a Welbilt, Model MR 670T. It says it was manufactured in 1996, on the back. I got it for free, without any information on it, from someone moving out of an apartment. All it needed was a good cleaning.

Since I contacted you, it has started working fine again. I don't know what I did. What I really would like would be to find a copy of the Users' Manual for it, so I can understand how its features work. I've already figured some of them out, but that would save me time, and maybe prevent whatever was wrong from happening again.

    Thank you for your response,

I also have a MR670T Welbilt microwave. I unplugged it and cleaned it, now when I plug it back in all keys are locked.

    The
first thing I would suggest is a hard reset. Unplug the unit for a
minute or so. Then plug it back in, set the clock and try again.

If that doesn't work, leave it unplugged for maybe an hour. Then let us know if the hard reset does not fix it.

And please reply back with your brand and model number so we can help you.

Probably the only way to get it is to order a copy of the manual from Tritronics.

Either part number MW-9999-19 or MW-9999-21 will work for your model.

But it may not be worth it, since it will run $12.95 plus shipping.

We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.

Emerson microwave not working 900 watts

The Emerson MW8999SB 0.9 cu. ft. 900 watt Microwave Oven is relatively compact, and certainly inexpensive, but doesn't skimp on functionality. We were surprised at all the options you get with this little microwave. It's only 20 inches wide, 11.3 inches high and 16.1 inches deep yet. The interior can still accommodate a regular size dinner plate or small (10-inch-square or round) casserole. Plus, there are 10 power levels, eight one-touch function buttons, six Express Cook settings, timed and automatic defrost options, and a rotating glass turntable to circulate the food for more even cooking.

We were very pleased with the performance of the Emerson MW8999SB. It did a fine job heating water for tea, cooking a couple of baked potatoes, reheating leftovers and steaming fresh vegetables. Even the automatic defrost proved surprisingly efficient, letting you enter the weight of the item(s) to be defrosted (4-100 ounces) for easy operation. Chicken breasts were almost fully defrosted after one cycle. We needed to stop and separate the food pieces to finish the defrost cycle.

The unit is styled mainly in black but has stainless steel trim around the door and control panel. The smooth touchpad control panel is attractive and easy to wipe clean. We loved the one-touch Express Cook buttons, which let you activate the unit at 100 percent power for 1-6 minutes, by pressing the corresponding number pad. We also appreciated extra touches such as the Start/+30 sec. button, which can be used to start the oven or add an extra 30 seconds each time it is depressed.

It's hard to go wrong when the functions are so simple. The only tricky part was identifying certain codes used on the display screen. When changing the power level, for instance, PL10 is displayed on the screen. Pressing the button additional times lets you toggle through the different levels. Likewise, the Auto Cook settings may need to be pressed multiple times to obtain the correct weight or portion for the food being cooked.

We were amazed that a machine costing so little also offered two-stage cooking, which lets you start cooking (or defrosting) on one setting and finish on another. All in all, the Emerson MW8999SB is an excellent value.

Pros: Touchpad controls, eight one-touch function buttons, six Express Cook settings, two-stage coking option
Cons: Limited interior capacity can only accommodate dishes up to 10 inches, no sensor

How do you defrost on the microwave

What is need to set the program, select defrost function then select the weight of the food to be defrosted and push the value of the weight. Now select the heat value and press start as the processor will then decide the time to defrost.
This is a simple program setting or else you can choose a preset heating defroster program.

Using the Auto Defrost feature on my microwave oven

How do I use the Auto Defrost feature on my microwave oven?
To use the Auto Defrost feature on your microwave oven, please do the following:
  1. Unwrap food, place on the turntable, and close the door.
  2. Touch Defrost.
  3. Select food by entering 1 for Meat, 2 for Poultry or 3 for Fish, or touch Defrost repeatedly to scroll through the food selections.
  4. Enter the weight in pounds:

Meats and Poultry can be set from 0.2 to 6.6 lb (90 g to 3 kg).
Fish can be set from 0.2 to 4.4 lb (90 g to 2 kg).

Doneness may be adjusted at this time by touching Cook Time.
  5. Touch Start. The display will count down the defrost time. When the cycle ends, "End" will appear in the display, and the end-of-cycle tones will sound, followed by reminder tones.
  6. Touch Cancel Off or open the door to clear the display and/or stop reminder tones.
The Defrost system has 3 categories: Meat, Poultry and Fish. It should not be used for food left outside the freezer more than 20 minutes and frozen ready-made food. Use the following chart as a guide.

Would like to know how to use the Inverter. Is it for baking & defrosting? Have never used one before and do not have a manual.

Hi ifcope2000,

The inverter in your oven is for defrosting. It works on the basis of weight of the food to be defrost. To use the inverter follow the following steps.

First place the food on the microwave dish and then close the door.
Now press Inverter Turbo Defrost.
Enter the weight of the food using the number pads.
Press Start.Defrosting will start. The time will count down. Larger weight foods will cause a signal
midway through defrosting. If 2 beeps sound, turn over, rearrange foods or shield with aluminum
foil.

Hello; my oven has been working perfectly. I tried to use the defrost. For doing that I pushed several different pads. Finally with the help of the Owner´s Manual I coudl use the defrost, but the oven is...

It sounds like what you've done is locked up something in the timer. I'd unplug the unit., wait a few minutes and plug it back in. If that doesn't do it, I'd look at whether your unit has some kind of child's lockout that you may have activated. Not that...we've got to look at more issues.
