Battery installer i have new os in my compaq evo n610c, and after that my note book finding for a battery installer so where i can find this installer

It is 22 years old and there is not support for the virus magnet that is called Windows XP!

don't waste money on buying second or used.
buy original from near HP store or order online. check HP center near

sadly you need a new drive, these are about £40.
from any computer vendor fit new drive and then load installation disc.

I've installed Windows7 in my n610c (with !gb ram) and my laptop is perfectly working.
Windows 7 is not the 'awful' Vista!!!
The most important things are W7 drivers for this laptop. In order to obtain these drivers, you've to download and install 7zip, then you've to expand in folders the exe files of audio ,video, etc.  drivers of windows xp, and let the system find the suitable drivers..
InstallingXP drivers (exe files) in W7  is not possible!

Also ram may be increased over 1Gb, but you've to install the O.S.
after having upgraded your ram, otherwise graphic card will be not working, even reinstallig its driver!!!
I've just made these operations in two Compaq evo n610c, successfully.
I'd  a problem only for Infrared port, but I've fixed it 'asking' system to find the driver into an external usb HDD full of drivers of various PCs. After a few time , also Infrared port driver was OK.
I've made a backup od windows7 drivers (you may use double driver(free) or Windriver Ghost (not free), in order to backup w7 drivers.

Make sure you start by deleting the old partition, and formatting C:. If it still locks up after that, then your hard drive is bad.

Try to check the compatibility.
