Leaking water on floor

Remove contents from bottom of freezer. Turn ref/freezer off. Use the handle end of a screwdriver and carefully break up the ice build up from the bottom of the freezer. Find the condensate drain and remove ice build up. Find the condensate drain and remove ice or any kind of restriction from the drain line.
Or you can turn the refrigerator off for a day , mop up the water and blow out the condensate drain

Hi, there is a build up of ice around the drain hole in our built-in fridge. how can we cure this?

This will involve removing your drawers and stuff on shelf above drawers . Heat water to temperature suitable for hot coffee or tea, pour the water down trough, clear ice. Pour water down drain until water flows freely .

If if you have one a slightly less messy way to clear a drain line is to use a steamer. It is safe too.

Ice building up in freezer section

You need to clean the drain line from the freezer it is plugged resulting in a big ice build up at the bottom. Remove the shelves and back cover you will see where the water is suppossed to drain, you will need a hair drier to melt the ice build up because it has backed up and now is frozen too. After you remove the ice build up you can take a coat hanger and insert it into the opening, see if you can work the coat hanger down through the line to push out the obstruction, if not pull the fridge out and remove the bottom cover you will see where the line exits and drains into a tray it may be plugged right there. You may have to force out the obstruction with compressed air if none of the other things work or do what I did, blow into the tube from the bottom to force what ever is blocking the line out the top, doing that though is a little messy. Cat hair or dog furr is usually the problem.

Model MSD2756DE WHEN IT DEFROSTS WATER RUNS OUT THE FREZZER DOOR , I NEED TO CLEAN OUT ICE BUILD UP ON THE BOTTOM OF THE FREZZER EVERTY COUPLE DAYS OR IT BUILDS UP AND RUNS OUT. THE ICE MAKER LINE IS NOT...

It sounds like you have a frozen drain. google your specific model on how to take the freezer panel off and take a turkey baster full on hot water and run it down the drain line unitl it clears. Once its clear if you have a calrod heater (it will look like an electric bake element on an oven) take a piece of heavy copper wire (ground wire for a recepticle) and run it down the drain line about an inch and a half. This will conduct heat from the element down the drain line during a defrost cycle and help prevent the problem for happenening again.

let me know if this helps

Ice build up on freezer floor.

Hi, If ice is building in the freezer, you have a defrost drain hole plugged. Unplug the Fridge and then remove the rear panel off the freezer. There you will find ice built up in rain. Remove the ice (hair dryer works best). Once the ice is gone, you need to make sure the drain hole is open all the way. A baisting serringe with hot water works really well.
I hope this helps. Please let me know if I can assist you further. Please rate my answer so I know how I am doing.

Kenmore # 63142 Fridge -- Water in Freezer

If water drains out, then there is always a blockage somewhere on drain line.

Defrost the unit completely to get rid of ice building inside drain lines.

If that does not work , then the drain line must be unlocked using a flexible shaft.

Ice build-up around the fan making a noise.

Drain line froze.
Used hair dryer to thaw frozen line, works OK now. 01/07/09
Think the frozen drain line was caused by the light in the refrigerator not shutting off when the door closes, causing excess cooling in the freezer. Poor design on the light shutoff switch, corrected design to make permanent repair

Water leaking onto floor

unplug it again , sounds like your drain line has frozen, instaead of defrost water going down the tube and under refrig in drain pan, becuse tube is frozen its draining into freezer compartment and eventually spilling out through front of unit. totally defrost unit and behind back wall of freezer youll see a metal trough designed to catch water, in the center (under the ice is gonna be the drain hole, pour boiling water down until it runs freely
