I try to log into my user name dragooljd, but it keeps coming up when I put in my password that it is not valid. How can I get it changed as I can not log into that one. It says that my password is not valid. How do I get in to change it.

Page 56 of the following refers to entering the Systems Settings. From there, one enters the Security Settings. That is where changes to the password may be performed. Chances are you must be logged in as administrator, see page 58.
That said, perhaps to following will be of value: When changing the password, be sure to remember the new password.
(It is recommended that you periodically change the administrator password.)

Your setting is made valid only when the machine is turned On again.

You have to make 2 changes, One for the computer and one for the user. Here is how you do both:
CHANGE COMPUTER NAME:

1. Right click my computer and select properties
2. Select "Advanced System Settings" (skip if win xp)
3. Select "Computer Name" tab
4. click "change"
5. Enter the name of your choice

CHANGE USER NAME:
You cannot change a user account by just changing the name. Just changing the name will make a cosmetic change only and not affect the underlying files/folders in the profile.

1. From an account with administrative privileges, go to Control Panel>User Accounts and create the new Standard user account named the way you want and at least one extra Administrator account. Call the latter "CompAdmin" or "Tech" or the like.
2. Log into the new Standard user account once so the profile files/folders are created and then log into CompAdmin.
3. Now go to Control Panel>System>Advanced>User Profiles>Settings
4. You will see where you can copy user accounts. Copy the old account to the new one from there. Use the Browse to select your new account (C:\Users\newaccount).
5. Log into the new correctly named account and make sure all your stuff is there and that it works the way you want. When you are satisfied, you can log out and into CompAdmin and delete the old user account from Control Panel>User Accounts.

If you wish to log into your new, corrected account automatically, do this:Start Orb>Search box>type: netplwiz [enter]
Click on Continue (or supply an administrator's password) when prompted by UAC

Uncheck the option "Users must enter a user name and password to use this computer". Select a user account to automatically log on by clicking on the desired account to highlight it and then hit OK. Enter the correct password for that user account (if there is one) when prompted. Leave it blank if there is no password (null).

are you sure you logged in with a valid user name and password for words with friends. most of the people who use this game always sign in or sign up with a facebook account. so if you want to change your password you will have to change your fb password. my thoughts. hope helps.

The wifi name you are referring to is called SSID, service set identifier. You can change that by logging onto your routers Web based utility. Open your web browser and type in 192.168.0.1 and it will ask you for a user name and password. If you keep the default user name and password the user name should be admin and the password is blank, meaning there is no password set up. After logging on, click on top tab "Setup" and on the side menu "Wireless". You should be able to change the SSID by typing in a new name in the field "Wireless Network Name". Make sure you save the changes! This should then change the name.

Is this your computer? If so, why not reset the windows password?
The easiest way to reset a forgotten Windows password I ever use is to use Windows Password Reset ,just a few steps:
Step 1: Download and install Windows Password Reset
Step 2: Burn Windows Password Reset Std ISO file to CD/DVD
Step 3: Put in your newly created CD and remove your Windows Password.

if you know the password then log in via the admin and goto control panel > user accounts> administrator> and click change my password.

Enter the new password twice and way you go.

if you have forgot your admin password then:

if there is already an other administrator on your PC then you can log in to that and type
net user administrator *
in command prompt then enter the new password twice.
Note this command can only be valid if you have admin authority.
