If the manual test doesn't work, I think the auto function won't work either. If that is true, your timer is running on the battery and there is no power. Remove the battery and see if it appears to be working. If not, check your outlet to ensure that there is 120 volts ac. Plug a light or shaver into the outlet. If the outlet is good and the clock has no power when the transformer is plugged, you probably need a new transformer.

Is this a common problem with this manufacturer? I replaced a new Malibu timer with a new intermatic timer and both have the same problem. There is power to the timer but not the contacts. I am going to return it but wonder if I should try another of the same or upgrade
