I forgot to add that after taking out the battery you need to hold down the power button to drain excess power. This sounds like the possibly infamous Nvidia GPU defect. It is caused by heat, over time the solder fractures and separates from the board. Typically the solution is either repair it (temporary fix) or get a new board and hope for the best.
Start your computer in bios mode (press whichever key gets you into it), look through the bios sections for turn number lock on on startup turn that function off.

Pressing the f8 key doesn't work either? This should boot the laptop to safe mode, if it doesn't then check the memory cards before you do anything else, try to get somebody with the same type of memory card to lend it to you. If that doesn't work, then your HDD is corrupted, and to re-install Windows.
To get the display on the TV . Please press Fn + F4 after connected TV to the Notebook using Svideo cable and the cable should be connected to the Svideo port of the Notebook.
If there is not display on the Notebook after the Svideo cable burns. Then please perform the following steps.

1. Disconnect the AC Adapter. 2. Remove the Battery. 3. Hold the Power button down for 30 seconds to 1 minute. 4. Reconnect the AC adapter and Battery. 5. Turn on the Notebook power.
If the issue persists then check whether the display is same on the external monitor.
