Battery removal IBM Thinkpad model R32 type 2658

This works for a Sony Laptop.
Remove AC power
Remove Battery
Press the power on button for 30 seconds the release.
Install the battery
Press the power on button

Providing that the battery has a sufficient charge, it should turn on. Mine did, and a Sony Technician provided the tip.

Remove the cmos battery for 5 min this will set the bios back to factory settings
I think the place are next to the ram module
Replace the battery with a new one if the voltage is low must be 3 volts
Its a 2032
You also have to do the settings for date month year
and where it shall boot from

battery is not charging. please try with diffrent charger still you face problem try to change battery.

may be you have lose welding in the inside connector
it is possible to charge your battary in another laptop and try your laptop...

Its on the Mother board you can get it at any drug store
or walmart any where they sell watch and hearing aid batteries

usually when the charging light blinks and wont change to solid green it means the battery is dead.
solution is to buy a new battery
