Question about Office Equipment & Supplies
When I got your fix for my problem. The fix worked and I was able to print from my computer. Today when I wanted to print from my computer I found that it had switched back to HP5600 Fax. So again I selected HP 5600 series, but it won't print. Before I bought this printer I had purchase an Epson. But I got such a run around for their servce department, that I put it in the closet and went out and bought an HP. I have always had HP and it always worked well. But now I am having my doubts about HP. I am about ready to box it up and take it back to Sam's Club. I hope you can help me.
I can understand your frustration, but do not panic.
First Go to Start> Control panel> Printers and faxes> And in the HP 5600 series check to see what the icon say...? (Does it say 0Ready or does it have and jobs in Que)
Right click on the icon and left click on Cancel all documents ( until it says 0Ready)
Make sure the HP 5600 series is set as a default printer.
Then go to Start> Run> under run type in services.msc and hit Ok and in the services window locate for print spooler and under service status you should see a tab which says stop highlighted click on the same (a window will pop up and close), now you will see start highlighted click start and you will see the same window pop up and close,
Now stop should be highlighted, click on Apply or Ok and restart your computer.
Then after restarting your PC go to Start> Control panel> Printer and faxes> and check where the check mark is in and the default printer should say 0Ready.
No right click on the default icon and left click on properties. and under properties to the bottom you will see a tab which says print test page.
Click on it and see if it prints a test page.
And then if it prints try printing from any application.
