You should try checking the wireless security & channel.

make sure if your network requires a security you should check that your typing the right one cause this is case sensitive.

make sure also to check the wireless signal of your router or Access point be sure to set that on channel 11.

I already asked the question and then had to get off the computer. The question was how do I stay on the WiFi internet through netgear router. When the WiFi symbol shows I am conneted if I go too Chro

Need to know your signal strength and if you're connected with proper credentials. If the wifi signal is weak, the computer may disconnect to look for a stronger signal. Sometimes ipv6 is the culprit on older computers too. Disable that and use ipv4 only. There are multiple reasons for dropped internet so the more info about your system and the conditions under which the internet is dropped will help in diagnosing the problem without sending you on a wild goose chase.

There is free internet service with an unsecure wifi at my apartment building. How do I boost the signal so I can get optimal results with so many freeloaders hogging the internet?

Bummer deal! Try to reinstall the wifi. And try and move it to a different location - to see if that helps. Try higher in the air for more direct signal reach. Hope this helps.

Keeps dropping signal to iPhone & computer

Hello!

I am not able to locate a model 67, so I presume that is short name for it.

Can you look at the label on the bottom and get the full model name? Examples of Netgear model names are WRN2000.

As for the signal dropping, it is possible that the router needs a firmware update. I would suggest searching for a firmware download for the modal have.

Good luck!

Hi

The problem was in the wep key. I entered the old wep key, not recalling that we had to trade our router in for a new one last summer. When I entered the new wep key we were able to get online.

Either you have dysfunctional wires on the house either is problem with your internet provider. Try contact them.

I had a similar issue. Random disconnections and sometimes tend to happened very often. Tried many things like you did and nothing worked.I figured out that the cables on the outlet where messed up due to a water leak from the upstairs neighbor.

I changed it to a new outlet of the house which was in different cables and the connection got a little more stable but not much better.

After contacting my internet provider, they sent a technician and he told me that it most likely problem from the provider. Currently im in the processes of changing internet provider.
