Disconnect negative terminal from battery, you will need an O2 sensor socket which autozone rents if you don't have one.
unplug the wire, place the socket on the sensor and turn counter clockwise, it will be really tight then pop loose and you should be able to thread it out easily. take plastic protector cap off new one (do not touch tip!) thread the new one in and tighten it then plug it in. reconnect negative terminal.

2000 Chevy S10 LS. Heated o2 sensor, where does it go?

Question edited for clarity.
Question moved to model category.

Yes there are three o2 sensors

Bank 1 in the exhaust manifold
Bank 2 in the exhaust manifold
One after the Catalytic Converter.

Not sure what you mean 'where is the best place to put it'? The scan tool tells you which one needs replacing by a P**** Code, or are you just replacing one for fun?

Answered here on JustAnswer dot com

The o2 sensors are located in the exhaust pipe. The one you are looking for is the post cat sensor. The sensor furthest back in the pipe after the catalytic converter.

2002 chevy s-10 has multi o2 DTC engine hesitates under accell

I have a 2003 S10 and the downstream O2 sensor failed giving the same code. My son
was able to diagnose it with a very expensive scantool. The downstream sensor is
located at the Y in the exhaust pipe. Sure beats buying all 3 sensors. Hope this helps.
(I recommend getting the OEM sensor).

Po141 o2 sensor code comes on my 1999 chevy s10 I've replaced the sensor. The check engine light came on again.

You should have 4 O2 sensors and it sounds to me like the wrong one was replaced. Bank 1 Sensor 2.
