I have a 2gb high speed memory card that I've been using for a little over a year with my phone. Recently I noticed I can't take anymore pictures with my phone camera because they were getting corrupted, so I took the mem card out of the phone and put it in my sony laptop that has a memry card reader. I was able to access all the files, so I copied them over to my pc and then put the stick back in the phone and that fixed the issue. However, when I tried to put my music back into the card using the laptop, I noticed the phone doesn't recognize it anymore. Now when I even put the stick in the laptop, it just gives me a pop up saying that I should format it, but the format fails. I've tried FAT, FAT32, and NTFS using quick and normal format. Is there anyway to fix this? and anyone knows if sony has any kind of warranty for these guys or what??

was you format your memory using your pc??if the phone can not format usually i format my memory using PC with card reader to detect the memory to pc,i format my memory with FAT file system
i hope this helpful
thank you for using fixya
I have seen this happen a lot of times with memory cards and formatting is the only solution for this and in the formatting options choose FAT32 as it seems more reliable than FAT. I have last formatted(FAT32) my card two years back when I had problems like these and I haven't had this problem since then.
You have to move each song/file to your external memory straight away after recieving it via bluetooth because it goes straight onto your phone memory. Seach your phone memory and move all photos, videos, music etc to ext.memory by selecting the file-select options in lefthand corner- move to external memory. If your phone cannot find your external memory then you havent formatted your memory card. Go to Settings-Memory Status(way way down the bottom of list)-External Memory-Format(lefthand corner). Just remember to move each file to ext. mem. straight away. Its a pain but you have to do it manually, the phone doesnt do it for you.
