Hi, what you want to do is just connect the speaker wires from the head unit straight across to the pre-amp inputs of the amp. If you have a sub, also connect the pre-amp outputs of the head unit to the 2 sub inputs of the amp. Connect the blue wire of the head unit to the turn-on terminal of the amp and connect power wires to both units. May I ask what speakers are you using?

Flooding which occurred three years ago could not possibly still affect speaker wires. Have you checked all the connections? Did any of the speakers themselves get wet? Still, if you want to get new speaker wire, just take a short piece from the existing wire to a good electronics place to make sure and match the impedence. They're not "called" anything except speaker wire.

With the head unit powered off you'll want to press and hold the Display button marked as Disp.

While holding that button, rotate the tuning knob to the left to set the hour and right so set the minute.

Easy, you grab a dual wire cable (like the one in the back of your amp that runs to the speaker) and stick each wire on one end to the positives on your amp. Then, on the other end, twist both wires together to form one wire. Hook it into your positive connection on the sub(s). Repeat on negative side.

it could be a case while you or someone installing the unit could or might have blown out the speaker output of the unit

try taking the unit out connect the red(acc wire) yellow(constant wire) together connect the black(ground wire)

get a test speaker and see if u get sounds

I was installing a speaker and while drilling a spark flew. Didn't think anything of it and finished instalation. When finished the audio didn't work on any of my speakers. I have a jensen cd6112 and the unit seemed to be fine. Tuned in, the lights came on and everything. I hooked a radio straight to the speakers to see if they were blown and they worked fine. Is there a fuse in line with the speaker wires? I would hat to buy another jensen unit and the same problem exist. Any help? Is the jensen unit bad?

The Jensen XS1010 is a 4-ohm sub and should work properly off of the outputs of most any single channel monoblock sub amp or off a bridged 2-channel. You did not say what brand or type of amp you intend to use, but in any case, there's only 2 wires to connect to the sub, one positive (+) , the other negative (-). Simply match them up with the positive and negative on the amp speaker output and you are ready to bump.

I'd recommend downloading the XS1010 manual. They recommend an enclosure with at least .75 CuFt internal volume.
