Question about Epson Stylus CX5000 InkJet Photo Printer
The problem may not be the nozzle on the cartridge, but the pin on the printer that connects to the nozzle. There may be better ways to do this, but it worked for me: remove all the cartridges and look into the docking bays; you'll see the pins sticking up. I use the word pin for lack of a better word; they're actually nozzles themselves. Take a paper towel and gently wipe off the pins until most of the ink is removed, then replace your cartridges.
I found all that the print utility clean function does is waste ink. Don't use it.
