Question about Audiovox D1020 Car DVD Player
When I put in a DVD that is store bought, not a copy, the DVD player does not load it. It sucks it in and then just shows the loading icon on then screen. It never completely loads the DVD.
I opened up the dvd player & determined that the dvd was not spinning or took too long to start spinning, so the reader stopped. It looks like the arm that holds the dvd against the motor mount that turns it does not have enough strength to push against the dvd so that the motor mount does not spin without making the dvd spin with it.
For now, I'm using a small wooden prod inserted into the dvd slot to gently nudge the dvd to get it spinning. When the time comes that that doesn't work, I'll try to adjust the arm, but that's a last resort before I buy a new player.
