Why does the video freeze when I try to play a DVD movie on my DVD-RW drive?

this sounds like a codec issue and i've found that reinstalling the media playback software (for example vlc.) may fix this issue.

Wireless issues with my Dell XPS/Dimension One desktop

Even if it's a new Dell, you may need to update either the drivers for the wireless card or the BIOS.

Also, verify which protocol your Dell is set to use (i.e. 802.11g, 802.11b, auto-select, etc.). Dell may have fixed to to a slower protocol for compatibility.

My computer is freezing in between watching movies online

The problem exists on almost all computers. If it is possible for you to download the whole movie first, then watch it,you may not have this problem. Between slow internet connection speed, which has a lot to do wth how many are on totally as well as to that site, coupled against play rate, It stops to load more of the file, before continueing to play some more of the movie. .

I have a toshiba A205-S4617 Laptop which had Vista Home Premium . Now i have downgraded it to XP pro sp2 but i am getting some Audio problems. The music and movis playing at half the speed ...it sounds...

OK ! As far as I can tell, (hopefully) you have installed corrupted audio drivers for the laptop. Its an issue that I have come accross 1 month ago. I fixed it by doing the following...

Installing the latest audio drivers for the downgrade of XP.
Installing the latest audio/video codecs for Windows XP.
Installing the latest Direct X redistribute
Uninstalling the windows update:MSWindowsHighDefinitionAudio

These three (Audio/Video Codecs, Audio Drivers and Direct X) are responsible for "decoding" your Movies and Music. If they are outdated or their host application is corrupt, they can cause sum grief to your multimedia.

Also, a very rare issue could be that you're selected (If you are using Windows Media Player 9-11) the speed settings. It could be that the speed settings are set to low. To troubleshoot this, simply download and install 3party apps like WINAMP (for audio) and VLC / VLan Player (for Video) and open your music or video with either one of the mentioned apps...
