Hiya,
When I try to select/play/delete aything in the library, the machine hangs. I have to remove the power lead to even get away from that screen.
I've deleted anything else that I can, but it's still not working. Is there a total reset button anywhere on these things???
Any ideas??

It looks like you have a corrupted recording.
Go to the library menu, the first recording will probably be the problem. If you press the designated button on your remote to delete the recording (eg blue) and immediately press the button to confirm (eg green), it will delete the corrupted recording and should fix the problem.
