Question about Hannspree 22" widescreen LCD Flat Panel HD Monitor

1 Answer

Vertical lines My Hannispree monitor has always worked incredibly well. All of the sudden two days ago, vertical lines started taking over the screen. Starts of as a distraction and then after ten minutes or so the vertical lines completely cover the screen so the information is nearly invisible. Help!

The monitor sounds like its going to die. The problem is because of the LCD Panel.

A monitor should have 2-3 boards, a logic board, an inverter, and a power supply
Lastly the LCD Panel which should consist of a crystal mirror, LCD Panel(has the circuitry and the brains for information/images that display), and backlights.

The LCD Panel is the problem. It needs to be replaced.
Yes it sucks, but usually LCD monitors last for so long, but in some cases they wear out by use and the thin circuitry that provides the power to create colors and images, begin to die. Im sorry. Its really the only solution unless you have the expensive equipment used to make the panels.

My recommendation is to replace it and it should work spankingly new.

I wish yuo luck. Please Rate.

Hello,

IF YOU HAVE A SOLID BLACK LINE RUNNING VERTICALLY THEN YOU HAVE A FAULTY MATRIX INVERTER. IF CENTRAL THE MAIN VERTICAL INVERTER NEEDS CHANGED. LEFT = LEFT VERTICAL INVERTER RIGHT=RIGHT.........

ANOTHER WAY TO GET THIS FAULT IS WORN OR DAMAGED RIBBON/PLASTIC GOING FROM THE SCREEN MATRIX TO THE INVERTER
I hope this will help in solving the problem....

Hi,

If this line is present on every window you open, it may be a problem with the LCD itself. As it is new and I presume still under warranty, I recommend you to take it back to the after sales to get it checked.

By experience, I can tell that in most cases, this type of line on the monitor comes from a defective LCD monitor, and if it is the case, it should deteriorate with time.

LIGHT BLUE VERTICAL LINE ON MONITOR

The vertical line is a bad pixel sensor at the edge of the screen, your screen has hundreds of vertical and horizonal pixel sensors. This is an indicator that the screen is going out and need replacing.

HP Pavilion ZD8000 vertical lines issue

Hi,
In answer to your question. It may be a screen problem. as the screen has a Matrix of vertical and horizontal line configuration.
I,d suggest trying the laptop/computer on an external monitor or screen. if it works fine on an external. then it could be assumed that the TFT Panel or invertor has a fault.
if the picture/display still has vertical lines on an external monitor, then the fault may lie, with the Mainboard.

Process of elimination, before spending any Money :)
