Why is Kodak printer printing bank pages when ink ull

You might have a printer head problem or a technical problem. Go through these steps and make sure that you not low on ink.
1. unplug for a few minutes and re-plug, try printing. if not working,
2. Do a printer head cleaning function, if not working,
3. Remove printer head, clean it, put it back and try again, if not printing, then
4. If you have a spa
re printer head, try that one and see if it prints. if it prints, get a new printer head.
5. If after cleaning printer head you tried a test page and failed to print and printer head is totally dry, first try cleaning the contact area with alcohol solution or use a printer head cleaning kid if you have one but don't invest a lot of time and money in buying cleaning material.
6. If all failed, your printer has a technical problem you cannot resolve, call Kodak support and ask for possibility of a free replacement. They may ask you to upload "data diagnostics" under printer tools and if the problem confirms, they may agree to send you a new replacement. Good Luck.

My Kodak ESP 3 black doesn't work. I have ran

It sounds like you need a new printhead. The Kodak ESP 3 works in two stages, you have a printhead which is what transfers the ink to the paper then you have the ink cartridges. Change the printhead. You can try to clean it also, by removing all the inks. Taking the printhead out and soak it it warm water to dissolve the clog. Sometimes it will work.

The red ink will not print regardless of maintenance tasks performed.

Hi.
You may need to replace the print head.
Sometimes the print head can be fixed leaving it in cleaning solution for a couple of days.
Before attempting repair I suggest to call Kodak at the number listed on the manual.

I have replaced the ink cartridges but the printer still thinks it is out of ink. Do I have to do some sort of reset? This is on the Kodak esp-3

Did you use a genuine Kodak cartridge or compatible? Some compatibles will work but give the empty cartridge message. HP is famous for this. Another thing you can do is make sure that the electrical contacts on the print head are clean on both the print head and where it contacts the printer.

Printer not printing black ink

The problem you are all having is with the print head (The black tray that your ink cartridges sit in).

Most of the time a simple cleaning of this will correct the problem, if it does not then you will have to call Kodak support and they will send you out another print head.

But lets try and see if we can get your troubled one to work again by following these steps...

1 - turn printer on and open the lid as if you were going to change the printer ink cartridges.

2- when the ink tray moves into the center and stops, remove both the black and color cartrdiges from the print head.

3- To remove the print head simply place your left thumb inside the head all the way to the left facing up and pinch the upper left lip of the print head to release it, then pull the entire tray out with your other hand ( there is a release inside the tray above the sticker of a finger and bullseye to the far left in the upper left corner inside the tray)

4- With the tray now removed be sure to look at the bottom and you most likely will find a build-up of black ink... clean this off using DRY paper towel as much as you can.
I used rubbing alcohol but if you do this make SURE it is completely dry before reinstalling.

5- Once you have cleaned the print head reinstall it in reverse fashion than you removed it, if you installed it right you will hear a solid CLICK noise.

6- replace the ink cartridges you removed if they still have ink in them and then close the printer lid.

7- You may get a notice that there is a new printer head and or cartridges and it will want to align and or calibrate the printer...be sure to do this!

8- Once the printer is recalibrated hit the menu tab on the printer and choose " clean ink head"... Do a deep cleaning 2 times!

9- Now try to print something that contains something black like a text document. If it works you are all set, if it did not then you will need a new print head from kodak. simply explain that you did the above steps and it did not work so that you can avoid support trying to run you through all this. They will send you a new one in 2 days.

Hope this helps and good luck!
