Roomba pro elite change drive wheels

How do I change the drive wheels on a Roomba Pro Elite.

I need a manual on how to take out the drive wheel(S) and replacing them so it will work.

One of the drive wheels has lost the rubber tread. I have to complete drive wheels but no other instructions on how to replace them. I have all the screw out but there is some thing still holding the unit together so I can not get at the drive wheels.

Please help.

Thanks Mark, but I have that manual it came with the machine.

What I really need is a schematic or exploded view on how to get the unit apart enough to get at the drive wheels.

If anyone can direct me to or direct to a web sight where I can get the information I need it would be very helpful.

Thank you for the information on the Discover Series, but I have a problem with the Roomba Pro Elite. I is a different machine from surface viewing. The information was great for that and I thank you.

I ended up calling Roomba and then ordered a tread repair kit. So the drive wheels I ordered off the net will sit here and gather dust as I use them for paper weights.

Thanks for your help and a exploded view is probabley not available for the Pro Elite modle.

Goes circles 4210

I had this problem with mine, it was just going in a circle, some people suggested to clean the bump sensor with air, it may work for you, but it didn't for me, I found out that the problem was a servo motor at one of the wheels, bought a refurbished set of wheels, took the Roomba apart and replaced the part, working like a champ.

My roomba 550 goes round and round going know where.all the rest work ok

I have the complete service manual for the 550 series. It is in PDF format and if you would like the complete manual, give me your email address and I will send it to you. Below is the basic cause and repair for your irobot's condition.
Circling at slow, normal or rapid speed:
Most common causes: Dirt has infiltrated the wheel encoder or a drive belt has failed.
In MOST cases, the robot's software will recognize and correct the behavior within minutes. If the battery was recently reset, the robot may act erratic again at startup until the software has a chance to correct the condition. • If the Robot does not resume normal driving behavior within the first couple minutes of runtime, go to DRIVE WHEEL Module inspection and cleaning (Appendix C). If cleaning wheel modules does not correct the problem, both wheel modules may need to be replaced. • Replace drive wheel modules if fixes fail.

Roomba stutters on one wheel causing it to quit

Try setting the Roomba on the floor, powering it up, pressing down hard on the front, just above the front wheel, and hitting "clean" or "spot." My Roomba had the same problem, and this seems to do the trick for it. I think it has something to do with the Roomba thinking the front wheel is extended (which would indicate a cliff) even though it's really not.

If this doesn't work, you might try pressing down over whichever wheel doesn't turn when you turn the Roomba on.

My romba doesn't keep it's charge very long

This happens over time as the battery wears out. Time to replace the battery. Or, perhaps the battery is not receiving a full charge when it needs to (and damage has been done). Power supply might be culprit of not receiving full charge.

BRUSHES WON'T GO ROUND

Try to turn the brushes by hand, while the machine is off and on it's back. If the brushes will not turn, the brush motor is burned out. If you are mechanically inclined you should not have too much trouble replacing it.

Remove the bumper, then the case. You will see a motor with a long square shaft. That will be the motor to replace.

Personally, I recommend the RobotShop for buying a replacement motor.
