menu/settings/phone profiles, select profile, then choose options at the low left corner of display. Here, you can adjust type of sounds you want and its loudness. Navigate to the right with your central button and here you are navigating downwards: 1. - message alert type chooser, 2. - message alert tone, 3. - message alert repetition, 4. - email alert type, 5. - email alert tone, email alert repetition, and finaly, 6. - alert tone volume. To enter into the submenu, first click direct the central button, and then choose the volume with left or right part of your central button. I am not a perfect english speaker, therefore I hope I was clear enough making this explanation.
Instead of changing the ringtone settings, tap the message alert tab (in the top centre of the display). A set of message alert settings appears . You can change the Message alert type, if you want to, by tapping the panel and choosing the appropriate option. To change the Message alert tone, press the Message alert tone panel . In the menu that appears, press Change. Then choose one of the options Use effect tone (one of Samsung's pre-loaded effects) or Use my alert tone (allowing you to choose from your own sounds) . In this example, press Use my alert tone. Press the Sounds option. In a similar way as changing ringtones (above) you now have the choice of choosing from your Music files, Ringtones that are loaded onto the phone, or My voice clips . In our example, we'll again choose a file from our Music folder. Press the Music option. A list of suitable MP3 tracks appears. Tap the one you want in order to highlight it. Press Options, then tap on the Select menu option to install it as your message alert . You are now taken back to the Normal profile settings, where the Message alert tone has changed . To save this change, press Options and then Save . Alternatively, press Back and you will be asked whether you want to Save? Press Yes
Try the following instructions, to personalize your Nokia E50! Profiles Warning: In the offline profile you cannot make or receive any calls, or use other features that require network coverage. Calls still may be possible to the official emergency number programmed into your device. To make calls, you must first activate the phone function by changing profiles. If the device has been locked, enter the lock code.
Select Menu > Tools > Profiles. You can adjust and customize the ringing tones, alert tones, and other device tones for different events, environments, or caller groups. To customize a profile, scroll to the desired profile in the list, and select Options > Personalise. Define the following settings: • Ringing tone — Select a ringing tone from the list, or select Tone downloads to open a bookmark folder containing a list of bookmarks for downloading tones using the browser. To listen to the selected tone, select Play. If you have two alternate phone lines in use, you can specify a ringing tone for each line. • Say caller's name — Activate the text-to-speech ringing tone feature. When someone from your contacts list calls you, the device sounds a ringing tone that is a combination of the spoken name of the contact and the selected ringing tone. • Ringing type — Select how you want the ringing tone to alert. • Ringing volume — Select the volume level of the ringing tone. • Message alert tone — Select a tone for received text messages. when i send any MASSAGE form chat room, there is not responding on Mobile. and mobile has no Massage in inbox. when i signout then msg me in my mobile accept that " on friend online" Plz solve my problem
I had a similar problem recently.Where messages would recieve, but no alert, no vibrate, no notice of "1 new message received". Even restarting the phone wouldn't solve this.
I eventually managed to resolve this by freeing up some space from the phone (old messages, photos, etc) and restarting. I haven't had a problem since.
Hope this helps you, and please rate this solution, thanks :)
HI Qrasengan, 1) Open the menu, and go to profiles. 2) Enter the general option, and click on personalise. 3) after that, several option appears. 4) some of them are ringing tone, ringing type, ringing volume, message alert tone, vibrating alert, etc. 5) Go to message alert tone and change the tone u want to listen when message is received. NOte :Only wav or midi formats are accepted as ringing tone. MP3s are not accepted as ringing tones in NOKIA 6600. U need to install a software "mp3 as ringing tone" or "mp2wmaogg.codec" to make mp3 as ringing tone. =============================================== If u want that software, send me feedback or reply. And I will deliver u as email in ur email id. Sajan(email@example.com)
