Sounds like a loose connection between the backlight and the inverter - or a faulty inverter. Inverters generate and store high voltage (even when off), so be careful if you try to replace it yourself.

This is most likely the cable you have connected. I would try that first. If that doesn't work try connection your laptop to another TV. If the new TV gives you the same problem it might be a problem with your graphics card.

I believe my video card is going again, I have to turn off the monitor, and turn it back on and it only comes on for a second literally, I did flashlight test, I can see the icons as if it were a very dim...

You said you can see the icons on the display in very low light, that would be that either you need to adjust the display settings or the display is defective and not your video card, as if the video card was defective there would be nothing on your display.
Try connecting a known working monitor to your pc and see is that works normally, to prove that the video card is working normally.
You can copy the picturs on a flash memory drive or to the laptop if your laptop is connected to the same network that your dektop is.
I hope this helped.
Good luck and have a pleasent day.

HP laptop monitor for dv7-1170us does not work

It sounds like your flat vga cable has pulled loose inside the panel. Just take the lid apart on your screen assembly and press that flat ribbon cable back in and tape it in place.

Computer wont turn on or boot

what size power supply are you using, if its under 400 watts it may just be under powered. Large video cards 512mb and over take a lot of power. Try removing the video card and see if you can get the pc to power up, hopefully you have on board video.

How did you blow the cpu_fan connector, did you short it out? I would first supect the power supply is under rated, second a blown power supply, or mother board.

Laptop works but after logging off at end of day, user comes in next morning and his d630 is locked up and only way he can get it unlock is to shut down laptop

If it does have power stuff enabled i have had some very strange problems because of this so that is usually one of the firs things i check. Of course any network activitiy that tries to connect to that computer when they are logged off might have something to do with this too.

My computer is truning off

It sounds like you definitley have malware (some type of viruse and or trojans) I would perform a system recovery if i was you which this will delete everything and start Windows from the beginning when you first purchased the computer. You may do this by
turning off the computer all the way. turn it back on and immediately start tapping either F11 or F10 until it appears with System Recovery then make sure to do the system recovery process. It should take about 25-30 minutes and your computer should run fine, Although yes you will have to put your personal items back on the computer (like pictures, documents, etc) but your computer should run fine... Let me know how it goes and if there is anything else I can do to help you out.

Ok got a laptop problem, for my acer aspire 3000, im sure its the lcd, i turn it on, sometimes it works fine, other times it doesnt,...

Unfortunately, you will probably have to open up the laptop, and check the seating of the cables inside both the base and the LCD. It sounds like a loose connection, or a broken wire. I had similar issues with a Dell laptop, and it turned out to be a wire going to the ccfl tube (The backlight) that was shorting out against the case of the laptop when moved. Also, just try to re-seat the connections, it sounds like you have already had it apart. The cables should come off easily, and go back on with ease too, but do not attempt if you are not experienced, or at least comfortable with this type of thing.
