Marie, there is something stuck between the paper tray and the transport section of the copier. Probably a small piece of paper. try to push a piece of paper up from the tray to the rest of the machine to push this obstructing paper out of the paper path. Also try using the handfeed section on the right hand side of the machine by folding down the tray and putting paper in it. You may have to choose this "manual" feed tray on the operation panel. Good luck !

Hi,
if you change the fuser asy by the book it goes about 80000 to 100000 copies.
If you only change the fixing film if it isnt goodly adjusted and if there is also problem with pressure roller then that would not be a good idea.

Im telling you these without seeing the machine or without knowing your monthly volume of copies.

These is small volume machine for "home usage", if you want quality and better machine buy Canon ir 3225N. These is serious office machine, with extended parts life.

Hope that helped!

Hi there,

Check for any debris or any stuck object inside the unit, it could be a small piece of paper has left inside when you encounter any paper jam problem before.

Better to use a better high quality paper on your copier, it sometimes the problem like this happen because of low quality paper use, the paper roll inside and the paper cannot feed out properly out of the copier.

Let me know for further assistance.

Thank you for using fixya,

I have a paper jam at the exit point of the copier that I can not get to. How do I remove it? I can not reach the paper from any access point but I can see it.

If you remove the plastic covers on that side of the printer, you will see a small screw holding a bar against the rollers. Set the printer on end so you can remove this screw with out dropping it into the printer, and then the rollers will be loose enough that you can get the paper out.

Paper Jam but no papaer found Canon Image Class D860

Have you checked that the paper path is clean and free of paper fragments which sometimes get jammed in the sensors? Try blowing them with a compressed air bottle.

Error Msg E000

E000 is a fixing unit failure...either the thermistor or fixing lamp failed. Not sure about individual part replacement, most likely needs entire unit replaced....then reset the code.

There mite be some paper dust on the sensor where the copier indicate the paper jam is. some can air mite solve the problem. Be careful to direct can air towards the outside of the copier don't want to blow the paper dust to a different sensor
