Question about Computers & Internet
Is your new laptop an hp, by chance? I'm not too sure about other brands offhand, but I know that with hp, they specially reserve a part of your hard drive for factory restoration. It's typically the D: Drive, and it will be identified as HP_Recovery on the 'My Computer" screen, and is usually around 10GB. The only thing it means for you is that if your computer ever goes crazy to the point that you wanted to start from scratch, you can go through a special process at startup, and have everything set to factory like the first day you got your machine.
You can't access this drive partition, and it's best to just leave it alone. It may come in handy someday.
