my ps2 is not reding dics but it is able to read memo card .the start up screen also comes up and shows reading disc when we put a disc

-   Same with me... I havent played ps2 in a few weeks, and all of it doesnt , but it reads memory card. wierd. probably something screwy with laser reader.-   yellowfish33

Try cleaning the lens q-tip and alcohol (not soaking it)
on the main screen the lil rotating lights if they are not moving you got lens problems
