Technika video DVD player error code 03 will not allow me to turn the player on

This will depend on how old the Tv and DVD player are. Most modern equipment now simply uses an HDMI cable. A simple plug it in at both ends, turn the Tv to the correct 'Input' screen and job done.
Older setups might use a Scart cable or even the older RGB/Component cables. Most Tv manufacturers now don't use these connectors as they are considered 'Old' and poor quality technology.

To unlock DVD region on Tesco Technika 40F22B-FHD/DVD tv, you need to press Source or AV on the remote control and scroll to DVD, then press OK. Then you can make sure you have not loaded a DVD/CD, and then set the TV source to DVD. You may also need to adjust the Region settings in the DVD menu.

Switch player on.
Open tray (with no disc).
On remote Press Setup.
Then press 1 3 8 9
A new menu screen will appear with some interesting data, including the currently set Region code.
Set the Region to 0.
Press 'OK' on the remote control.
Turn the player off and then back on again, using the remote control.

"not allowed at moment" appears in top right of screen but keep pressing "zero" fast as you can and it will change to "O". player is now multi region.

Yes, Dave, I too would like to get hold of a manual for my Technika DVD100, which I got secondhand. I can't even find out how to pre-record on it at all, neither VHS or DVD.
