The ink tanks are full and the printer is telling me it cannot detect the ink levels.as of this i am unable to print anything

    brand is a canon MP510 the inks are the same ones that came with the printer and the ink thingys are calidad hero

was the ink refilled?

because usually there are cartridges that were built not to be refilled.

    thank you for replying cherry and thanks for the information.



    at this point, it is either you uninstall and reinstall the printer just to let the printer utility recognize the printer and the cartridge as if it is brand new.



    if this is not applicable, you may want to look at getting a "RESET CHIP" for your printer. you may ask the vendor that sold you the printer or the cartridge if they carry such device. there is a possibility that the OEM cartridge that you got does not have auto-reset, like most refillable cartridges.

Issue

If an error message is displayed on the LCD, take the corresponding action described below.

Cause
The following ink may have run out. Replacing the ink tank is recommended. I just installed ink and now my computer is telling me I can only print in black because Cyan, Yellow and Magenta are empty, however they are full. I can hear the ink sloshing around and the printer...


While you reinstalled the ink the procedure did not allow the software to detect the difference.'hence I would suggest that the printer be removed and uninstalled,
Use tthe Cd provided to reinstall the software into the printer , Now plug back the printer and the new harware will be detected.
The ink will show correct and the computer to printer communication must be establised.
The test print must prove this out.

I have a cannon Ip6600D and all of a sudden it stopped printing all the ink tanks are full and a occasion some things will print but most of the time the sheets are blank


Does your printer tell you that all the ink tanks are full? if it says that one is empty you may get intermittent printing, but it sounds like there's a clog in the print head itself.

Try doing a deep clean though your software. it will use the ink, but should flush anything out. Also make sure that you are using this printer at least once a week (this is the biggest reason for clogs, other then using a cartridge that was refilled using generic ink).

Can one reset the Lexmark P6250 printer refilled cartridge?


No, you can usually tell your printer to "ignore ink levels" when it gives the ink low warning on your computer screen. As long as they print just keep printing until they run out.

My CANON iP4300 printer does not print and has a yellow light that flashes 13 times. What does that mean??


This according to the user's guide:
The remaining ink level cannot be correctly detected.
Replace the ink tank and close the Top Cover.
Printing with an ink tank that was once empty may damage the printer.
If you want to continue printing in this condition, you need to release the function for detecting the remaining ink level. Press and hold the RESUME/CANCEL button for at least 5 seconds, and then release it.
* With this operation, releasing the function for detecting the remaining ink level is memorized. Please be advised that Canon shall not be liable for any printer malfunction or damage caused by refilled ink tanks.

Ink low indication on HP Deskjet F4288


hi im josh in cebu phils.may i help you? Friend the problem is the ink level dropped 3/4 after printing 7 pages and low exclamation mark in red. Friend it is the real deal since you are using a free ink cartrdge with your printer that ink is only a sample one and the content of that cartridge is not full thats why it dropped to empty in just a few pages of printing. It just appear full in the ink level monitoring since the printer auto detects new cartridge on the tank. It is just so You need to buy a new ink cartridge the one with the full content.and i'm sure it will last a long time since it is already full. thats all friend good luck hope i helped you.

Canon pixma refill is not recognized

Refilling Ink in Canon Pixma MP830


Hello, I found this in a repair manual for the MP830. summery is to press and hold the stop/reset button for 5 or more seconds. I copied the info from the manual too. The remaining ink amount unknown. [1683] (Applicable ink tank icon) The remaining level of the following ink cannot be correctly detected. An ink tank which has once been empty is installed. Replace the applicable ink tank with a new one. Printing with a once-empty or refilled ink tank can damage the print head. If printing is continued without replacing the refilled ink tank, press the Stop/Reset button for 5 sec. or longer to record the use of a refilled ink tank. Note: After the above operation, the function to detect the remaining ink amount is disabled.
