Question about Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition

Altering a keyboard button to give an other character

My keyboard does not have a Euro character key. I know how to type in the euro symbol but would prefer if I could produce the euro symbol by using one one of the key that I never use - say the end, pageup, or pagedown keys.
Any suggestions?

I am un able to type at symbol in my laptop. it is a win7. please help

If you press your 2 key with shift, you will print the @ symbol. Or if you are pressing this key, then pressing the hyphen ( ' ) with shift will give you the @ sign depending on your location. I am in the UK. Just set your keyboard language to your location.
Go to Control Panel\All Control Panel Items, click on region and language, and on the tab for keyboards and languages, you can set your region here

HOW TO ENTER special character like é SYMBOL ON NOKIA

Inserting special characters on Nokia E61 and E70

The most common special characters can be inserted by pressing the 'Chr' key and selecting the one you want from the pop-up grid.
If there are rarer characters that you need, note that ANY Unicode character can be inserted by simply holding down 'Ctrl' and typing the number of the character concerned - it will appear at the current cursos position.

Keyboard Typing Several Characters

There could be a couple of options here: 1. The keypad is defective in which case you need to replace it. 2. The keys are sticking which will cause this problem and is quit frequently what happens (unless all your keys are doing this in which case it will not be the problem as not all keys stick at the same time unless something has been spilled on the keyboard) 3. You might need to update the drivers for the keypad which you can download from the manufacturer's website. I do not think you have a virus because you would notice other things happening to your operating system or hardware. Since you plugged the usb keyboard in and it worked just fine, I think your keypad needs replaced, which you can order from the manufacturer as well and they are not that expensive. You can try downloading the drivers first and see it that corrects the problem or try removing your laptop face plate and cleaning your keypad, just be careful with the plastic tabs that hold the face plate on and not break them. I am pretty sure your keypad is bad. Please let me know if this helps or you need further assistance.

If you would not mind rating my help, I would really appreciate it. Thanks
