I hope you solved your problem and this is a late answer so if it helps anyone then OK good. When the door is open look down on the inside trim where your door meets when it shuts. There is a rubber boot covering an activator switch. Simply remove the screw, pull the module out and unplug it. Whenever you open the door it will not activate the alarm. There is nothing in the door that activates the alarm; only when you open the door.

Do you have a key fob? Unlock the car with that and you should be OK. My sons Elantra is the same way, you can only get in with the fob. I guess the car thinks it's being stolen otherwise. If you don't have a fob, I'm no help

Disconnecting the power to the car, or computer for any length of time will not reset the check engine light, or service needed lights. The memory for these lights is stored in non-volatile memory of the computer in the car.
In an OBDI or an OBDII system you must access the computer to reset these lights.
As a suggestion if you have a local autoparts store they sometimes have a Loan a Tool program where you can rent a cheap computer access tool (This is not an endorsement, but I know Autozone rents this tool for both systems).
If after resetting this light, it returns then you will need to correct the problem before it can be properly reset.
You must take the battery cables off for about 15 mins. Then connect cables again. Light should come on a few seconds when starting then cut off!

CAR ALARM ISSUES
It
can be any of the car doors not got properly locked or the door is locked but
the switch is not sensing the door locked. Open and close each door again
properly.
Or
else its problem with any of switch wiring getting in contact
with alarm wiring causing it to happen.
And
last thing alarm connections need to be inspected. It's getting short somewhere
in between.
