the [ ] button is only less sensitive due to it's closeness to the LCD screen, the UMD discs do not skip much if at all from what my friend tells me... the avg life span is ab

i have heard some things about the PSP as well... the only bad thing i have heard about it is the screens and how they are unprotected... a friend of mine owns a PSP i will ask him these questions when i get a chance

another thing i noticed too is that his as well as a few other PSP consumers had returned thier PSPs due to dead pixels. one person i know of returned it 5x just till he got a good one.

ive had a psp for 10 months and ive had no problems with the square button or the screen being unprotected. when im not using it i keep it in an old soft pencil case and mines relitively scratchless

ive had my psp for about a month now and ive had no real problems with it. The issue with the square button i heard only affects the Japanese consoles where the button gets permanantly stuck in the device.

But you can access the internet with it.

For what it's worth, the screen is kind of just unprotected, but you can get a flip-plate to screw onto the top and it'll stay down over top of the screen when you're not using it. You can also get a little sheet of film to lay over top of it to keep it f
